1 1/2 years of health problems and too many doctor visits....

Okay, I am 21 years old and I am coming here in desperation. A bunch of symptoms started occurring about 1.5 years ago and I've been vegan for 1 year. I also do not drink, smoke or do any drugs, nor do I take any medicines. I do take supplements including a B complex, multivitamin, acidophilus and sometimes kelp. I've had a low grade headache every day and it never goes away....I'm also tired ALL the time and I have difficulty concentrating and I'm very weak. These are the main ones that are always there. Some other symptoms come and go such as numbness in my arms, hands and legs, always cold, nausea (but never vomiting) and fainting whenever I have a procedure done (blood, shots) unless I am laying down. These all started around the same time. Ones I've been having more recently are feeling extremely dizzy and my eyes are strained.

We started going to the doctor a year and a half ago and she told me I had mono. Any other appt after that, she would say I had mono. We had my wisdom teeth taken out. The doctor usually says I have a low blood pressure. My neurologist said I had Lyme Disease, then I saw an infectious specialist and he said I did not have it. I had a sleep study that was normal. We're testing my blood right now for any vitamin deficiencies. I really don't know what to do anymore because the doctors can't come up with anything that is wrong with me....

I will look at your list of food more when I have time. Have you been eating this diet for the most part since you went vegan? Don't you get tired of eating the same things all the time? I think you need to incorporate more leafy green raw salads in your diet. I use spinach as the base in most of my salads. I also add different types of lettuce, but I use spinach for the most part. Spinach is one of the best veggies to eat. So is broccoli. There are so many veggies that can be added to salads, carrots, cucumbers, green pepper, red pepper, broccoli, zucchini, onions, garlic, cilantro, herbs, etc., etc. I definitely think you need more salads.

I really don't like the Silk product, and I'm not that crazy about the nutritional yeast also. When I make oatmeal, I make it with water. I don't use milk. I would use organic milk over the Silk product. Soy has some drawbacks. I am not an expert in it, but as far as I know, it isn't a complete protein, and soy can mimic the hormone estrogen. That is why I don't like soy. Go to mercola.com and read about soy. Are you familiar with mercola.com? There is a lot of good information there. He also has articles on there about tofu. I don't know that much about nutritional yeast, but why are you adding that to the tofu scramble? I do not like canola oil at all. I would 86 that. Use vegetable oil instead. I use a hot air popcorn popper. I don't need any oil at all. Corn is inflamatory, so I would find some other snacks too. Corn is a grain, it isn't a vegetable.

Pumpkin seeds are a really good snack because they have a lot of calcium in them. Sunflower seeds are good too.

As far as the gardisil, when did you have that? I am not sure what is in that vaccine, but you can get heavy metals out of your system with the herb cilantro. I eat cilantro on salads alot. There are other ways, too, but that is one. Your problems may not be coming from that, but they might. I think the headaches might be coming from one of the food products, but maybe not if it is constant. If it is coming from that, I think the best bet would be to detox it out of your system. There are various ways of doing that. Nyota1

I seriously doubt anything I am eating is giving me a headache because I've taken things out of my diet (gluten, nuts, seeds, fruits, soy, etc. etc.) and I end up still having them.

And no, I don't get tired of eating the same thing. I try to eat a lot of the same stuff because I'm reading a book on food combining and it says eating the same things is easier on your digestive system. I usually have a salad for lunch (with spinach) but I'm not a fan of salad dressings or plain salads so I make them into "taco salads"

And I drink soy milk because I am vegan, I wouldn't eat organic soy milk. I know all the rumours going on about soy, but a lot of them are false. I've been eating this kind of stuff for about a month. when I'm home from college I can cook for myself more often, which I am now.

Nutritional yeast has a lot of benefits to it and it tastes cheesy. It's organic canola oil, I'm pretty sure it's fine. I use organic olive oil for everything else besides the popcorn. I hate air popped popcorn, oil popped is the only kind of popcorn I would ever eat. Even the buttery crap I never liked. And I'd rather use the oil and get some fat because I don't get a lot in my diet.

If you don't think it is coming from the food, then it might be from having the gardisil vaccine. So, the best way to recover from that is to detox it out of your system. There are various ways of doing that. I gave you one suggestion with the cilantro. Garlic is really great also. How much water do you drink? I would consider drinking distilled water for a while. Distilled water flushes out residue better than spring water. My Doctor recommends distilled water for people who are sick. Some health experts don't like it at all. I have to ask my Doctor for clarification on it. I don't believe in drinking it long term, but I do know that it flushes out impurites better, because I saw the proof with my Mother. I gave it to her for a week straight and she was considerably better. I can give you more suggestions tomorrow. Talk to you soon. Nyota1

I used to take a garlic supplement. My water is from a well, I don't know anything about distilled water, how would I get a water distiller? I usually use tap water, but at school in the city I use a brita filter. I drink so much water because I am always thirsty. So far today (I've been up since 8:30), I've had 3 big glasses of water, if not 4. I lose count. But I have to pee about every 30 mins.

I've been checked for diabetes, and my blood pressure, although low, he said is normal because he did multiple positions.

Oh, and nutritional yeast is high in B12. I got my blood tests back and all of my vitamin levels are normal and my b12 is a little on the high side because of my complex haha but he said it is still normal. And I'm not anemic or anything like that.
