I have posted this before, but I have just discovered that there are still some people using insulin syringes for HCG. Let me explain this as gently as I possibly can. Insulin syringes come in two sizes, 50 units (0.5 ml) and 100 units (1.0 ml). If your desired dose of HCG just happens to be an even 0.5 ml or 1.0 ml, I guess you could simply fill up the syringe to the 0.5 or 1.0 mark, but if you are looking at the unit markings or if your desired dose is anything else besides 0.5 or 1.0 ml you are getting an incorrect dose. A TB syringe is just as tiny as an insulin syringe and is calibrated in ml rather than insulin units. REMEMBER a unit of insulin IS NOT the same as a unit of HCG. If you were to administer 200 units of HCG in an insulin syringe you would be administering way too much HCG. First of all you would have to use two insulin syringes and that would be 2.0 ml. Everyone, please spread the word. Be safe!
