Does anyone have any tips on how to ease joint pain from Lymes Disease? This past week, my knees feel as though they are being crushed by a mack truck and it's becoming debilitating. I'm desperate for pain relief (for muscles from LD as well). Any advice or feedback would be much welcomed-thanks!
Are you taking any fish oils or plant oils! I would take those in high dosages. I had alot of joint pain too until I started this diet and now it's just about gone. Im so sorry you are suffering!
Thanks for responding. I'm taking EPA fish oil, but not plant oils. I'm not too familiar with plant oils-would you have any recommendations by chance? I'm taking a tbsp of flax oil, but only 2-3 times a week. Your diet helped with joint pain? Wow that's wonderful! See, another reason I need to finally read the book and do it as well!!
I take Udo's choice 3.6.9 blend along with my carlsons fish oil! It has a blend of plant oils already in there. Flax is a plant oil and is great....since you are already taking it. Yeah, the diet has helped with joint pain....not sure why! It being so cold and everything I would normally be in much pain in my knees and joints from the cold but I feel great.
Thanks Cayce-I'll look into the Udo's.....see if Whole Foods carries it. Man, I am definitely going to float away on oils! LOL. Glad to hear your diet is giving you good results!
Thanks Holly. I do drink lots of purified water, but more couldn't hurt! I try to drink at least 1/2 my body weight a day as much as possible. I stay away from ALL cola's-stuff is toxic!! I haven't thought of berries though. Will purchase some and I love berries, so that is a much welcome addition! I haven't tried Mangosteen juice, mostly b/c I've heard that some brands are not good and some are, not sure which is which? Do you drink mangosteen juice? I have no idea what it tastes like. :). thanks!
Toxins-most definitely! I need to do more detoxifying, but my body is SO very hypersensitive right now. My joint pain is from the lymes disease spirochettes that attack the joints of the body, and muscle tissue as well. I have been using footpads on and off, and I really like them. I have not tried the Kinoki footpads, but ones that my footbath practitioner carries. Maybe I'll try the Kinoki at some point. I also don't think I'm too overly stubborn, because I'm so flexible the dr's can't believe it!! LOL. Although, I'm sure some would say I'm stubborn....hah. I completely agree with the mind/body/soul connection as well Holly. It's so strange how traditional doc's treat the body as individual compartmentalized organs, yet we are a whole functioning machine physically, mentally and spiritually! I love that about the "natural" way of life.....it's more of an encompassing approach I think. Thanks for your feedback!
I can't wait to be able to be out in the sun again! Unfortunately it's been in the 20's and 30's out here during the day, and it's way too cold for sun/skin contact YET, but anxiously awaiting the spring!! Especially for sungazing and being able to put my bare feet on the earth.....ah, something to look forward to! I'm jealous you will be able to do that before I will! LOL.
Thanks Cayce and Holly. I will be sure to sit next to a window, and try and absorb as much as possible of this wonderful gift of sunlight (until it's warm enough to be outside). Something that everyone can benefit from in all areas most definitely! :)
