I plan on starting the protocal 2 September 1. My problem is the lunch and supper. Do to my shedule at work I will need to take my lunch/dinner to work, how do I warm it up, i was advised not to use a microwave and cold beef/chicken doesn't sound to enticing, any ideas?
I had to 'camp out' in a rehab house project for last weekend. I precooked the meat, and heated it up w/ a bit of water in a small skillet and a hot plate I got. The veg/fruit... just kept cold til I needed it. BEWARE of little dorm refridgerators.. they freeze tomatos and apples!! :):):) Watch that temp! :):)
I also ate one meal's meat cold. It was okay.. cut in tiny pieces... :):)
I am going to have to do the same thing because I work in a hospital and do 12 hours shifts. I still dont know how I am going to work around that one and I definately cannot take a toaster oven to work. I just might have to eat everything cold which is not very appealing.
Ya Trudy that is my exact situation 12 hours shifts at a hospital, well thats whats its supposed to be, for the next 8 weeks its 7 to 330 for additional training, so i only have to worry about lunch, usually for those 8 weeks. I just don't think they would like it if i brought in a toaaster oven.
Yeah I think I might pick up a used toaster oven at a yard sale, I've been hinting that we should get one for the office, but I think I'm going to have to invest in one and donate it. All we have is a microwave, I keep telling my coworkers not to use it, but they don't listen. Good luck everyone, I'm going to start phase 1 next month, I'm doing some stuff now, but you know, full out next month. 30 lbs is the goal!
