I've been suffering from dandruff for too long. Dry, red, itchy scalp. I took a trip to Europe a couple years ago and for the first time for as long as I remember I had a healthy scalp. The dry scalp returned when I returned to Canada. I've tried olive oil and vinegar. Vinegar is okay but my scalp gets dry after I wash it out. The specialist recommended a bunch of chemicals but I'd prefer the natural way. My face is now getting dry. PLEASE HELP MEEEE!!!!

Try the following:
Complete B complex, make sure it has B1, Biotin thiamin or buy it separately.
Protein shake with raw eggs.
Iodine supplement - try iodoral (malfunction thyroid can cause dry skin)

Dandruff is more like a fungi infection, if you use oil on it try the following combination:
Evening primrose, neem, pennyroyal, tea tree, lavender, vitamin E. Sesame seed oil is also very good for the hair

Did you use apple cidar vinegar?

And of course probiotics and if you want to get rid of this sort of stuff for good. Do cleanses such as:
Candida, Parasite, Colon, Bowel.

I tried both apple cidar and regular white vinegar. How often should I drink the protein shake or em I supposed to wash my hair with it? I'm training so I drink protein shakes twice a day anyways (just whey protein and water) I will honestly paypal money to anyone that helps me get rid of my problem. I know being positive is good for health but I cant take this anymore. I'm sick of wearing hats :(

No drink it, add one or two raw organic eggs, mix in blender. But, you do have a good point I never thought to add it to my hair. Protein is best taken in the morning. I like to add organic apple juice to mine, with Naked or Odwalla green juice.

You really must get some Iodine (I like iodoral). But make sure you take the B-Complex too.

Also, buy yourself some MSM powder, I like to get mine from (bio-alternatives.net). Start by taking two tsp a day, doesnt taste real good)

Also, PABA, 100 milligrams per day is good against dandruff. And consider taking vitamin E, D and A. Stay away from refined sugar too.

To calm the nerves consider getting Rescue Remedy (Bach). Bach Walnut might also be a good idea. Don't give up, try to relax.

There is hope. I had dandruff for many years and would have scratch my entire head off, I no longer suffer from it.

I don't think it really is just about having a positive attitude, I believe it really is believing that change can and does happen.

The phase I like to tell everyone one is " You have to believe it, to see it".

Oh and here is another quick remedy I just thought about:

1 tablespoon of coconut oil, two times a day (yep you have to get used to it), but it does help regulate the thyroid and give the body the necessary fats it needs. The best type is organic raw extra virgin coconut oil.

Also, you can try apply coconut oil to the scalp, I would also suggest adding some cedar tree oil with it. You could do this overnight or on weekends.

I have no idea which foods irritate my scalp because its always irritated. I read somewhere that white rice and foods with carbs arent that good for the scalp. No idea if its true but since I'm dying for a change I tried it and cut out white rice and everything I enjoy but no change has happened. I do not mean disrespect because I do know alot of you are giving me good advice but it seems like some people on here are just trying to sell me their own product to me. Messages in my inbox. Anyways thanks to everyone thats recommended something to me! Please keep them coming. I know 100$ isnt much but I will paypal 100$ to anyone that helps me actually get rid of this problem. My face is now getting affected. Red dry spots. ARHHHHHHHH!!!!

Sounds fungal to me. Not an expert by any means but I would try a protocol for fungal infections. Coconut oil is a great antifungal as is black walnut tinture. To take by mounth and apply to scalp. Do not use anything with soap. Wash only with neem powder. Soap strips your natural defensive oils and will allow the fungus to grow and spread. You can get neem powder at www.healthandyoga. They have a fungal powder mixed with neem and some other herbs that i used on ringworm and it helped.

How much coconut oil do I use? Do I leave it in overnight? Please help guys!

doesnt matter how much u put on. And yes leave it on overnigh. But more importantly take a tablespoon by mouth every day. Or get some caprylic acid - that is the active anti-fungal ingredient in coconut oil. Make sure it is virgin organic.

Also you may want to do a candida cleanse. Stop all sugar and grains. Start on fresh veggies only. Stay away from wheat and anything that has gluten. Just staying away from grains altogether is easieist. Candida diet. You probably have an overgrowth, internally. Need a probiotic immediatly.

Thank you. I'm going to get the probiotics today. Do I need to talk my doctor before I start taking the probiotics? Also how much apple cider vinegar do I use with the 6 oz of luke warm water. Thanks again for all the input.
