So, right now I am using products by California Baby on my son! After being reminded of all the chemicals and crap in most products, even so called natural ones, im really looking for the best for my son. Im going to try to use more of the miessence products for me but for him, I just don't know! I was looking into try ing Aubreys Organics on him but does anyone else know of a truly NATURAL skincare line gentle enough for babies and young children? BTW, I ordered that book called (The Chemical Maze) that Michelle recommended! I can't wait to start using it!

KQ,

I ordered some In-Liven for my son! I eventually would love to start using there hair stuff, facial stuff, etc. I will probally start using the makeup first...but I need to order a few samples to try. What moisturizer and cleanser are yo usuing on your kids? That's so cute about your son taking the lip balm!

I am using the balancing one because that is the one that I ordered for myself.
I figured it really didn't matter for the kids because all the ingredients are natural/organic anyway. Yes I was looking for my lip balm and I looked under his pillow and in his bed when he was asleep and could not find it. In the morning I asked him where did you put the lip stuff and he said "I hid it from you" and so I said well I know that but where did you hide it? So he told me he put it under his football helmet on top of his dresser!!

Have you tried 'Aveeno" products. My daughter has super sensitive skin and its the only product that we have found she can use so far. It has oatmeal and other things in it. She cant have anything with alcohol in it either.

sara33,

The Aveeno is ok...but I don't like all the other chemicals and additives that they put in there products. We are just using coconut oil as of right now and it seems to be working well. He has SUPER sensitive skin.....but we will keep experimenting to see what works best!

Just be careful, when you choose something so called natural or even Organic. These days organic skincare manufacturers use synthetic & harsh chemicals as their ingredients and use few of the Organic contents and get them certified.
I personally think this should stop. I have read many companies doing at 75% natural or Organic or saying 80% or 84% etc etc...but you got to see what the other ingredients are. What is the use of applying 80% of Organic (out of which more than 60% is Aqua and base oils.), when rest of the 20% are harsh chemicals. which do no good to your skin , infact they can harm in long run. You might see instant results because they are synthetically produced.

Good Luck

manmohan Nagpal,

Hey there! Yeah, I have it down to simple minmum now and only use Dr. Bronners soap...but very little of it because I just don't think we need that much soap to be clean. I use organic coconut oil as a moisturizer on me and my son and miessence facial products. I like olive oil for things too! I quit using nail polish totally!

Hey Cayce,

I understand where you are coming from with trying to find the best baby care products for your children. I had the same dilemma too! I see you are a fan of Miessence and I just wanted to let you know they have come out with a Baby Range line of baby care products, but if you are a frequent Miessence customer, you probably already know about it. Have you tried the Baby Range products out yet??

Arlene,

Hi! Yeah....I saw that they have a baby range now. I did check them out. My son is now three years old and we have been using the Dr. Bronners sensitive baby soap on him for over a year now. It's the only thing that does not dry his skin out. Im thinking about trying the miessence products with my next baby....when I actually do conceive, etc. Gotta do that first! I love the miessence facial products but have never gotten around to using the makeup.
