I haven't begun the hcg proticol yet, but i keep reading how some people are gaining weight after all phases have been completed. Is what Kevin stated in his book untrue? Can you really not eat ANYTHING you want after losing the weight without gaining alot of it back? it makes me scared that i'm relying on this to be the one thing that will finally help me, and that it may all come right back again. will this still be a lifelong struggle???
For years and years I have heard that weight loss is mostly in your mind, and while this protocol demonstrates that is not completely true, I keep thinking that the definition of insanity is doing the same things we have always done and expecting different results. If you have always eaten those foods and they caused you to gain weight, the loss of weight will not alter your body's ability to process the food to make it good for you. Bad food is still bad food regardless of how much we like it. Pizza (loaded with nitrites) , wings (msg), regular hot dogs (nitrites and msg), refined flour in birthday cakes, high fructose corn syrup and propylene glycol in Easter treats are all going to cause you to gain weight.
I haven't made it fully through my first round of phase 2, so I have no idea as to how difficult it will be to keep it off, but after living for a whole year being careful to eat mostly organic and healthy foods, and avoiding all wheat, msg, HFCS and limited processed foods, I maintained a 35 lb. weight loss from a different program without varying more than 1/2 lb for nine months. I didn't starve, I ate out occasionally, and indulged in rare treats. I did change many things about what I ordered out, and where I went, and my family and friends have been very understanding about it. I ate dark chocolate every day, and ate as much good food and as often as I wanted. I didn't lose, though.
As for only losing 20 lbs, I am on day 27 and have lost 24.3 so far, two more lbs than my husband. I didn't even gain at the beginning of my period like I usually do. My sister and her daughter both lost more than 25 lbs. each time they did phase 2.
I think one of the key factors in losing the weight with hcg is reducing the amount of stress in your life, as well as drinking copious amounts of the teas and water. A gallon or more of fluid each day is not an unrealistic goal. I drink at least 3 liters of purified water and 9 cups of tea every day. I have also been fairly consistent with the sauna, and we are having tremendous results.
I wish you well on your second round, and hope you are able to really make the lifestyle adjustments necessary to lose quickly and keep it off.

Hi, I lost exactly 40lbs between phase I and phase II, I feel great. I think what really helped is doing all the phases. At first I listened to people and what they were eating. I thought no way. Then when I started last jan 10th on phase I...I was very excited about the organic part of this whole thing. I lost 15 lbs the first phase by doing the cleanses and going all organic. I ate anything on the first phase. Then I started on Phase II which i was very concerned about the diet. I just was't hungry, most of the time I had to tell myself I have to go in and eat something. I think what this did for me it changed my desire for certain foods. You on this for so long its habit forming. My favorite food is using my juice machine, what a high I get out of a juicy...I love them. I just don't even want the other food, I was at a gathering, ate a small amount of food.....that I hadn't ate in a long time. If you can believe this i threw up. My stomach would not accept the food that i no longer put inside my body. If you will listen to your body, it will help you along this path you need to take. When I got back into my size 5's, there is nothing in this world that feels or taste better than that. You will love standing out in the crowd then, to brag to everyone your healthy way of eating and how hot you are. they will all want what you have take my word for that. they will all be jealous...I guarantee they will be looking at that hot daog or wings as the enemy after seeing you. good luck with your hcg and you change to healthy eating and looking hot. I lost 40 on my first round of the 4 phases.. Very happy with it. I was done back in January, 8 months ago. I have gained 15 lbs in the last month. I'll be doing the 4 phases again starting this week. My experience is that you need to still be smart about what you eat and drink. Too many bad calories will still come back to haunt you... I strayed from the fruits and other healthy foods and it showed on the scale. Now I'm being smart again and have lost 5 of the 15 I gained. It's a great protocol and I recommend it to everyone that needs to lose weight!
Hello Summer I did the HCG shots 4 years ago and just recently started gaining the weight back. However my habits caused the weight gain. I slacked down on my weekly routine of working out and healthy eating which caused my demised. HCG is a great way to lose the weight quickly however once you have achieved your goal you must consider a life style change. You cant go back to your old habits (my mistake) you have to continue to work out and eat right for you health. Hope this helps a little. Take care,

I will read more, right now my eyes are pretty tired.................I am still waiting to start it.................just till searching. Oh I caught your post, yes me too, I have heard they gain it back, but it is because of the way they do something wrong. It just seems so involved to me..........looking for a appetitie suppesent. I don't know, if I had more time to concentrate on the diet, what to eat what not to eat I think I would do better.

Hi, I wanted to share with you, I lost 40 lbs between p1 & p2, during p3 I didn't go by the diet on p3, but a did listen to my body after the first two phases. I was careful the first week..I want my body to get use to the change i had went through. I really didn't want to eat anything that wasn't healthy. I have felt so good......I have maintained my same weight, as two days after the last injection. I have been off the injection since April 15, I feel, I am no expert on anything. I just started listening to my body. I did everything Kevin's book said to do. All the cleanses, the chaos eliminater, mercury out of my teeth, rebounder, massages, acupuncture, chiropracter, changed my medical doc to holistic doc's including my dentist. three to five days a week i walk a hour and half....if you will keep this up. There are days my body is craving this. Yes I can attest for Kevin's book you can keep it off if you will just eat organic and stay active. good luck
Summer, I commented just a few minutes, attesting to, you can keep it off. I wante add another comment that I love Ice cream....Kevin has a recipe for organci ice cream. I eat ice cream any time I want it. Just make sure its organci...what causes us to gain weight is all the toxins, and man made chemicals added to the food. good luck

Welcome! I'm a newbie too! I just started my first shot today! I was really hard benging if you can call it that.I had a cheeseburger and fries drink and a choc dip cone! HA for breakfast I had doughnuts! Woohoo!I just can'y eat more. I took All my supplements and the shot wasn't bad at all. Actually painless! I 'm hoping like you this will truly work!

Hi. i lost 30 pounds and after 3 months of eating whatever I wanted i gained 10. I was still within 5 pounds of LIW ( I Lost 5 more on p3) but a close friend encouraged me to do hcg again. I wasn't motivated that time around as it was summer. I lost a few pounds but not enough to brag. I've since maintained at 2-3 pounds around my original LIW. I now eat about 90 % organic and do eat whatever I want. I'm working out now and plan on sculpting some normal problem areas to be totally satisfied. I think you do need to watch what you eat to truly maintain even if it is organic and keep the eating habits in place. For example, during my weight gain I was using real organic butter to fry with in place of coconut oil and got hooked on Newmans cookies! I think the biggest fall was not stop eating when I got full. I was raised to eat everything on your plate. The first 3 months I ate slow and stopped eating when I was full. I now cook mostly with coconut oil, cook small portions (then I eat everything on my plate) and don't buy cookies any more but if I go out (rarely) I don't hold back with what I order and bring food home.
