The water does help with the cleansing but that much water puts a tremendous burden on the kidneys. I keep my water to 2 liters unless I am truly thirsty.
I am on day 6 of phase 2 . i drink alot of water and tea a day. the first 2 days i had really loose stools,and they are different than my very normal stools before. I would rather have that that than not going for a day or two. I drank alot of water and ate alot of greens before so that didnt change. i think it could be just the hCG getting rid of waste,and the bodys change. i'm not really sure. I am continuing to drink plenty of water so i don't get de hydrated. how has your weight loss been?
Hi debbie it sound like we have had the same reaction to the hcg, but like you i drink alot of water and teas......mine also are not like the normal stool. I lost 21 lbs on phase I, just changing my kitchen all over to organic. I am now on day 9 of lcd and have lost 7lbs. When I get out and walk and hike i lose more. All together I have lost 30lbs. Which is great. I have about 40 more pounds to lose. I'm confident that I will lose it. Good luck with you weight loss.
I'm sorry Debbie I lost 2lbs just this morning which makes me 9lbs, total of 30lbs......one thing I have a hard time with. My husband and I socialize alot. I take my fish and salad greens and cook them along with what our freinds are having. When we play games or whatever we do, there is sack food every where....its very hard. I just want to stay home for these 7 weeks. I guess thats not very nice.
I still cook my for my husband(lucky guy) i have catered in the past and am a wonderful cook. Last night i made him roasted chicken with all the trimmings. Good thing about that is that meal will last 3 or so days so i just heat it for him. I still pack his lunch every day and this morning he had his usual oatmeal with toast(i smelled the toast before i threw out the half eaten piece) i know what you mean!!! i think in a way it's good to see my love affair with food,to acknowledge it. To work on food being nurshing and sustaining not addicting. People rarley these days use food for fuel as hopefully we all are,with an occasional induldge. I am a self proclaimed noticer...big time! i notice all the sickly, overweight, undernourshed people and then look at either their life style and or food they eat. We as a nation eat way too much,way to often,in the car,on the run,pre made from the deli. Holidays ,birthdays,weddings,family re unions etc. alot of events revolve around food. I feel personally it's good to pay attention to self examining questions,such as" why do i want that?" "do i need that?"am i hungry? am i full? and give ourselves permission to have some and knowing when to quit. Bottom line you are doing great to take your food with you. My 1 yr wedding anv. is tommorow. Because of the protocal we are not going out. I will make some steak and have my portion:) hopefully our disfunctional gland will re program and it will be a little easier for all of us who are trying soooo hard.
I enjoy our convesation. I also cook for my husband still, he is italian and like his meals. I love to cook...I am a very good cook. I to pack my husbands lunch everyday.. Something you said, made me remember....quite along time ago. I use to only eat to nurish my body....like one takes a shower to clean your body. I need to get back to that kind of thinking. I started on organic the first of the year, its made a big difference in our lives. I've always tried to eat healthy, do not take meds, drink anything but water and teas. Except an occassional glass of wine. I don't do cafeine, I very rarely do sweets.
I have always tried to eat only when sitting down at the table., so one does not get in the habit of eating in the car , standing up etc. you are right we eat way to much food.
My aniversary was 3 days into the lcd, we also stayed home and I fixed dinner and had my portion with salad greens.
I have always been very disciplined. When i went through the change, my body changed which is when I gained this wieght, but i will get an top of it.

So you too are a person who is around food all the time. It will force us to get control. It has made me see how often i would lick my finger,or the spoon. how i would have the rest of this or a pinch of that.
Wow tuesday was our 1 yr aniversary. Monday my husband took me to CIRQUE DE SOLEIL.We ate before leaving,here at home. I had my usual protien and veggie. I encouraged him to have something if he wanted at the show (he loves popcorn). so he had a lg pop corn and soda something we never have here. Well any way not the JUNKIE popcorn,he makes it on top of the stove in a cast iron dutch oven with organic popcorn & butter and a little toffee stevia. I had control,kept my vision on my new me. It wasent easy. The smell of popcorn was every where and people every where were eating. goes back to what i said to you before. a little is ok (sometimes) I didn't gain weight by having self control!!! .I weighed yesterday am and i lost 1 1/2 lbs!!! Yesterday was our actual aniversary. I bought organic steak which i havent had on the protocal yet. The steak i bought was 3 of my weighed servings. i had my 1 weighed serving with veggies. i made hubby fantastic trimmimgs with his :) The hardest part... i had to make 2 cakes for a client by fri. Yesterday was the only day i had time to do it grrrrrrrr. I jokeingly told my husband i was going to duct tape my mouth shut !!! Than i had a visual of that and thought "how awfull" We did it together,had alot of fun,and i did have a lick or 2 of the frosting(white chocolate,cream cheese) just to make sure it wasen't bad :)...it wasent!!!!. bottom line i was afraid to weigh this morning(i forgot my apple last night also) I did still manage to loose 1/2 more lb...i'm sure it would have been more if not for that darn cake,and my willingness to make it while on the protocal. Well in life it's all about choices.
today, day 10 of phase 2 total weight loss 9.5 lbs. I think it would have been a little more had i not cheated( sunday,day i cheated)

It is true...you play you pay,and i didn't cheat too badly.
before i had a 1 to 1 1/2 lb loss a day. My ND said my extreme hunger may be due to needing a little more hCG so she had me increase my dosage some and to monotor my hunger and weight loss. still have some hunger but not starving and loosing well. still having 1-2 sm BM'S daily which probally helps:)
I have lost 55 lbs in 6 months using the weightloss cure.
I have had success and know I can keep it off with the steak protocol.
