I started to break out in middle school and through out high school. I final went to a dermatologist after many "test trials" of various pills, creams, and over the counter products. My dermatologist recommended Accutane so I took the "miracle" pill. Despite the pain, dry skin, and not being able to go in the sun for about a year, it worked. Well at least I thought it did. I have been off of Accutane for about half a year now. I only break out on my face a little, but it bugs me so much especially after risking my life for a clear complexion. I recently found Chris's "Acne Free in 3 Days" program. I don't think its worth the $40 dollars because its just saying diet, vitamin C, and use his facial wash. I was wondering are there any alternatives to organic vegetables? I hate vegetables, I will not eat them however, I need them to be healthy. Also which vitamins should I be taken? (I believe E, C, A, and Zinc) any brands? and is Chris's facial wash and soup worth getting if not what would be a good facial wash?

Acne is depressing :(

Thanks, its a little overwhelming but I understand why organic.

Besides changing my eating habits completely what vitamin pills (brand) would you recommend I take? Is the probiotic stuff a replacement for vegetables? Is Miessence a good brand for probiotics, how long does it last, and why is it so much money? Also would I just ned a cleanser for my face (they have a bunch of stuff)? Thanks

I broke out with acne since thanksgiving 2007, it has taken me 4 months but I have finally gotten rid of it.

This is what I did:
1. probiotics every day
2. high doses of vitamin d
3. double dose of zinc
4. complex BBomplex with adequate biotin
5. Iodine pills (Iodoral or kelp)
6. vitamin A
7. vitamin E
8. vitamin c

I also started back using MSM powder more frequently, but not sure if it is necessary

I now also apply a mixture of iodine and miracle II to my face. And also use a neem oil solution that I use about three times a week now ( I just mix MSM powder, distilled water, neem, tea tree and lavendar oil).

I believe items 1-5 above really made the difference, because I generally take 6 and 7 anyway. Or it could just be getting the right combination for your body. too much vitamin c makes me itch, so I don't take very often, prefer to find good food sources.

Also, you could just find good healthy whole food sources and that might work just as well.

Kyle, I use Aubery organics. It's the best facial soap i've ever tried, and ive had acne problems for over 15 years, so i've tried many things.

Nedalie had some great suggestions. I think what it boils down to is what you are eating. I personally would incorporate more veggies and fruits into my diet. Even though you don't like them, what you could do is put some flavors on them to hide the taste. I used to not like veggies either, but then after starting to look at them as knowing that they are good for me. for some wierd reason, I started to like eating them. Force yourself if you have to, because their is really no substitute. LOL, hopefull those words were not as dreary as they are written.

good luck to yu my friend.
ps, all that stuff in the stores Don't work, or anything they advertise.

Oh, one last tip, wash yur face once a day.
sometimes you need to keep the oils in your face. this is what 've learned. The more I washed my face, the worse it got. So don't wash your face as much, probably just at night. Yu'll notice huge improvements. Also when your dry your face, don't rub it hard, tap the towl to your skin very gently, and make sure you get sun on your skin...sun is good for people who have acne.

If you don't like veggies....you definately need to be on some type of RAW, whole food supplement or super food supplement with LOTS of greens. Greens help with acne! I have also noticed improvement after I started taking a plant based iodine!

I like the miessence facial products for my face! The only ones that dont irritate my very sensitive skin. I like the purifying line for times my face throws me fits. BUT remember......it's a problem from the inside coming out. You need to focus on getting your toxins out, building a more heatlthy body, parsite cleansing, etc.

they also have ACV is that one good?

I just need a supplement to replace vegetables, vitamins, and a facial cleanser. I don't know which products (brands) to buy tho.

Kyle,

With products be VERY careful! You may want to check out the group called (ingredient detectives) under groups and read up on some current news on "so called" natural and organic products. Personally for me I like Dr. Bronners soaps and use miessence on my face. I use coconut oil or olive oil for a body moisturizer! That's it! Why don't you send me a private mail since we are not supposed to talk about brand names and products on the forums! I'll see what I can help you with!

Hello Kyle,
Acne is a common and chronic skin disease. It is an inflammatory condition of the sebaceous glands and hair follicles. The lesions are usually found on the skin of the face, neck, chest, and shoulders. Nearly six out of ten young people between the ages of twelve and twenty-four suffer from some degree of acne.
My younger sister is also facing this problem she is following herbal treatment of rubbing fresh garlic on and around acne given in a herbal site, she is improving.
