Jacob I'm not sure...PA is not mentioned in this article and that's where I'm living at the moment. I just found out today that you can not buy tomatoes anywhere in the state. So this is all news to me and I came across this article on the net. Probably most states I would assume...if not all. Anybody else aware of the recall on tomatoes and if so what state do you live in? I was curious to know if it effected every state in the United States. Sorry I couldn't be more assistance Jacob because I just found this out today...Dawn

do you know if the organic ones are effected by it as well.

I heard about it last night on the news. I'm not taking any chances with eating them soon.

"The FDA warned U.S. consumers on Saturday that the outbreak was linked to eating certain raw red plum, red Roma, and red round tomatoes, and products containing those tomatoes ...... The FDA has said that it is safe to eat cherry tomatoes, grape tomatoes and tomatoes sold with the vine still attached but those account for only a tiny portion of the industry ........ The FDA has said it does not know where the contaminated tomatoes originated. The infections have struck most often in New Mexico and Texas."

Strange how plant gets salmonella. First I hear strawberry has heptatitis, and then spinach has disease now it the tomatoes. I wonder what next plant to be contaminated. Make me think somebody plant a biologic warfare on the plant. You can say I am a conspiracy theory nut. lol

Booklet is the new or old news? I tried looking it up. Only thing I found was this article dated back in 1997. I've been vaccinated against Hepatitis A and B so there for I have antibodies to the virus. A is from contiminated food or water. They usually recommend it to those who go over seas. I heard carrots were too more recent. Not sure if that's true or not. But didn't they find salmonella in peanut butter couple years back. Correct me if I'm wrong. Geeze I better work on my memory skills...LOL...stress will do that to ya...Dawn

Ah ha I was right about peanut butter so it wasn't a dream after all...LOL..I probably need more vitamin B in my diet. I REMEMBER I used to have a great memory. Anyway...here are the links for the peanut butter but is the case of carrots true? That I will look up next. I'm the Google girl or I've been told. I can find just about anything on the net.
