iam currently taking pure flaxseed oil but hear that the lignan form is better. and is it still more beneficial to take the oil than the seeds? does anyone have any suggestions on a really good quality brand?

Barleans and Spectrum are reputable brand name. Any flax seed oil taken should be the refrigerated type indicating that it is organic, unrefined and cold-processed. Some of the sites that I have read by people who follow the Budwig protocol say that the lignan type is not as good as it changes the flavor and can go rancid faster. If you want more lignans then it is best to eat ground flax seeds.

It would and I may have misunderstood in that I thought the oil with added lignans was being referred to.
