Do wisdom teeth have to come out, eventually?

The dentist use wisdom teeth as a source of revenue. 1,000 of years with wisdom teeth only to be told now in the last 50 or so years that everyone one in the west has to have them taken out. Pure bloody madness.

Notice your dentist said "could" and not will. Now why don't they just wait until they do cause a problem.

Hey that hand has got to come off cause it could get trapped in steering wheel if your car plunged in to a lake, which might end up killing you and your family.

You'll know if and when they have to come out. If they get impacted, absolutely! If not, then she can decide what she wants to do.

Her bottom wisdom teeth are growing towards her other teeth instead of up. But the tops ones are growing down. I'm thinking maybe just pull the bottom one's. Thanks!

Well I thought the same thing. I waited until last year (almost 40yrs old)...and since I waited so long because I was scared, I might loose my bottom back tooth because the wisdom tooth was impacted and pressed up against the back tooth and decade it under the gum line so they can't fill it. How sad...if I knew that when they told me years ago about my wisdom teeth what exactly would happen I would have had them pulled then...but I got the they aren't bothering you we won't bother them. I'm totally upset having to get another tooth pulled that could have been saved.
