What do you ladies use? I know makeup period is not really considered natural but there are some that are not so bad as others and depends on the ingredients. I am still currently using the Bare Minerals and want to switch. I have heard that it contains Bismuth....a horrible chemical. I thought they were supposed to be so natural....guess I was wrong. I do use Aubrey Organics blush and lip sticks and glosses but don't really like there powdered makeup for the face. Im looking for a nontoxic foundation or powder. What do you ladies use?

My wife recently started using a similar product to Bare Minerals but made with 100% organic materials and none of the harmful chemicals and additives that many of the others have. She gets it from a company called Everyday Minerals, www.everydayminerals.com. The coolest thing is you can order a FREE sample kit (you only pay a few bucks of shipping) and they'll send you mini samples of the colors you want to try, that way you don't end up buying something and not liking it. My wife is very picky about her makeup, and absolutely LOVES this stuff! Their customized kits are the best way to go pricing-wise. They have a lot of FAQ's on the website, so I won't post up everything here, but check them out and see what you think. Good luck!

Matthew,

Thanks! I will check them out. Im not too big into minerals but I feel it's the only option out there as far as Natural makeup goes. I still think it's better than the commercial brands of makeup. There is alot of talk about some of these mineral makeups containing harmful heavy metals and minerals that were not meant to be in the body. The body sees some minerals like rock minerals as foreign or toxic. Not sure! I guess it's still better than the commerical toxic stuff. I'll give these guys a look to see what they offer! Thanks!

Matthew,

I don't see where it shows the ingredients for the makeup!

The ingredients for the Everyday Minerals are categorized by type of makeup (blush, foundation, etc). If you go to the top where it says "About" and then go to "Ingredients" you'll find them all listed. Here's a link that may or may not work. If you still can't get there, I'll post the long list of them up here, but was trying to save space. :)

Matthew,

Thanks! If you can....can you list them.....if you don't have time....I understand. I just like to really look at the ingredients real good.

Thanks for this post Matthew, I ordered the free sample kit.. I don't always use makeup, especially since I have been more aware of what I put into my body, but sometimes I do so it would be great to have something safe, and affordable to use! Can't wait to try it!

Have you checked out the Naked Minerals collection from ITV? It is 100% mineral! I've been using it for a year now and I absolutely love it! Look on my home page for the link to ITV. Best wishes! Karen

You are so welcome! I've used alot of different 'all natural' makeup lines and I haven't found anything that even comes close to Naked Minerals. I've had so many people comment on how smooth my skin looks. I don't even feel like I'm wearing makeup at all!
