I loaned my book out, but if my memory serves me correctly it said that one round of hCG is 45 days. I have been using the Simeon's protocol and following those instructions with the exception of the melba toast and the 125 units of hCg dose (I take 168 units). In the Simeon's manuscript it indicates only 40 days due to the HCG losing its optimal effectiveness. Can anybody shed light on this? Also, I do not see any reason why I could not continue hcG after 40 or 45 days as long as I continue to lose weight on a daily basis. Does anybody have any thoughts on that?

In Kevin T. book it says in the Q&A page119 that the hcg needs to be mixed DAILY, that it looses potency within 24 hrs of mixing with water!!! It says it CANNOT be mixed and stored for later use. I didn't see the 40 days due to optimal effectiveness.

Hi Carol
Today the HCG has a preservative in it to last 60 days.

GHI said it has a preservative to keep it for 60 days.

Yeah Nancy,
you brought up and an interesting point that made me really think. Even if I do continue to lose weight after the 6 weeks I may be losing only the structural fat and not the abnormal fat reserves. I certainly do not want to lose structural fat. But, I still do not understand the difference in amt of days KT says 45 injections and Simeon's says 40 injections. Isn't that what it says. I need to get my book back I feel so lost without it.

Oh and one other thing. In Simeon's day 40's and 50's they did not use Bac water they used normal saline. The difference is that Bac water has special pharmaceutical grade preservatives in it to make it less perishable. The insert that came with my Novarel says that it is completely potent for 30 days in the frig after being reconstituted with the Bac water (the manufacturer of the Novarel includes a 30 ml vial of Bac water in each vial of hCG). By the way my pharmacist told me that Novarel ONLY comes in 10,000 unit vials unlike other manufacturers who carry 1500 or 5,000 unit vials. I do not know if Novarel is more effective than other brands (I read it was) but, I am having fantastic results with Novarel. I love the fact that I have plenty to share with friends and family and I love the fact that the manufacturer includes a 30 ml of Bac water in each box of Novarel.

I've just finished the injection/low calorie phase. (#2 in Kevin's book, #1 in original protocol.) I did 40 injections over a period of time of 46 days. After the first week, I skipped doing the injection every Sunday although always on the VLCD. So BOTH number are "correct". T he reason you STOP after a maximum of 40 injections and the reason for skipping a day a week is to prevent your system from developing an "immunity" to the effectiveness of the protocol. If you continue longer, you will not be doing yourself a big favor. Now I'm on the next phase and will not start another "round" of injections for several weeks. In the round I just completed I "plateaued" a few times but overall dropped 25 pounds and a total of 14 inches. There was no hunger ( a feeling of hollowness the first few days only), NO SUGAR CRAVINGS... hallellulah!!!... and I had LOTS of energy. People are stunned at how much my appearance has changed. Thank youuuuuuu Kevin!!!. You MUST follow the protocol (phases 2 and 3 in Kevins book) EXACTLY. The hardest part for me was not being able to use skin care products. I use a non-toxic skin care system but it still has natural and essential oils in the compostition. So still could not use it.

Re mixing the hcg.... I bouthe the bacteriostatic water and used that for the mixing. I did not use the small amount of solvent/water that came with the package. Somewhere I read not to "mix" the two solvents. A friend (nurse) mixed them up for me and "loaded" the syringes. I used insulin syringes. We premixed up to 20 at a time and I kept them in the fridge, bringing out the one needed for the next day the night before so it would be at room temp. Obviously there was no compromise in the effectiveness by doing it this way. You do not want to mix/load syringes and then leave them out at room temp.

Nancy, I got my Novarel and all my supplies from a pharmacy in Webster, Texas. It is called the Professional Building Pharmacy. I am not sure if they are a chain, but if they are than other locations should also carry hCG. If there is anybody who would be willing to make a trip out here and set up an appointment with my Doctor and IF the pharmacy is willing to supply all the refills and such I would be willing to put 1 or 2 people up at my house at a time to save on hotel and food bills (i will share my phase 2 food). I would feel great about helping someone out and giving back a little since life has been so good to me lately. I would like to give my Doctor the heads up about it first just to be sure she does not have any objections. I doubt she will have a problem with it because she has been SUPER supportive and open minded about this whole thing and I am having fantastic results. I live in Friendswood, Texas which is near Houston and my Doctor and Pharmacy are in Webster which is a few miles from where I live. Carol I am curious why you are using insulin syringes. Insulin syringes are designed for insulin ONLY. A unit of insulin is NOT the same as a unit of hCG. There is a chance that the amt you are injecting is not the amt you think you are injecting. I know that you said a nurse is helping you out with all that so perhaps she has taken all that into consideration and made the necessary adjustments.

Peace and good health to all my new friends,
~Rhonda~

Rhonda,
Your offer to help others is so kind! I can tell that you have a big heart!
I am so glad that you are having so much success with the protocol. You are such an inspiration to all of us! Thanks!
Keep me apprised of your business venture; I'll do the same on my end; maybe somehow we can help each other.

I am a registerd nurse and want to make sure you all understand that an insulin syringe holds one cc or ml of what ever injectable you want to put into it. Just keep in mind it is one cc not units. There are 100 units in one cc or ml. of every 1 cc syringe. You can also purchase 1/2 cc or ml insulin syringes which would be 50 units. Make sure you do your math to provide you with accurate dosing. You want to prepare your solution with bacteriostatic water ONLY, not STERILE water as this will burn like fire when injected. It can be given IM or in the muscle or SC into the fat tissue- I personally did the SC method as my fat was "plentious" and it is of course much less of a painful injection.

Hi Rhonda, I live in Houston and would like to know more about your doctor and pharmacy. Also I would like to know how you are doing on the HCG protocal? How much weight have you lost so far?

Hey Nancy, great job! You've been doing your research. Rhonda, the shots are for 42 days I believe, then you still follow the VLCD w/out taking the shots before moving on to phase 3. So it is a 45-day protocol. You have to still follow the VLCA for 3 days after your last injection to make sure the hcg leaves your system completely. If you started eating normal again, w/out the sugars and starch, before the 3 days are up,you would put on a lot of weight.

Hi Sarah:

I'm going to buy my HCG finally! :) Anyway, I'm getting it from anabolic-pharma.com. I'm getting 4 viles of 1500 which is supposed to be good for the 40 days. I was told that getting the 5,000 was more difficult to handle, is this correct?

Also, I know the syringes and needles are separate and I know I can order them from anabolic-pharma but....what do I mix the HCG with and does the HCG come with it?

One last question, what type of needle to you suggest and how and how much HCG do I mix up ahead of time.

Thanks for your help.

Cat :)
