pleurisy and how to treat it naturally. Doc says I may have this
I am just remembering that i was told by doctors that i probably have pleurisy, which is like an inflammation of the lung. I believe that the predinisone i have been on has made it stick around, and i have no idea how i got it, although on webmd it says that you can catch this from a drug reaction, and i have had a few of these. It can also be caused by a viral infection. I have had this since october of 2007, and it got worse in january, where ihad to be rushed to the hospital. They put me on a liquid steroid which immediately calmed me down and made me able to breathe a little better, and after taking many prednisone pills, its still here. I have changed my diet, because im sure all of the french fries didnt help daily, but its still here.
Any suggestions to end this problem?

My sister in law suffered from a lung infection that caused scarring and depletion of lung capacity. They would diagnose then rediagnose. She did everything the doctors told her; steriods, drips, pills, you name it and she never got better.
No matter what I would tell her she would really not do anything I suggested, or only take 1tsp of this or drink one glass of that every week or other week.
She wanted desparately to know what the cause of the disease was so she went to the greatest lung hospital, in the world I think she said that, or at least in the USA, so off she went to Colorado.
They said her immune system was the problem. She spoke to me while she was up there and said when I come back I am going to do everything you said to do.
Well only problem is she didn't make it back. They gave her chemo to suppress her immune system, she was dead within five days. She had been up there for three weeks. Of course the two weeks before they gave her chemo they were also giving her stuff.
Organic diet, better nutrition(sp), probiotics, healing herbs, collodial silver, cleanses, happiness, love and joy.

Wow, Knownow, that says a whole lot. Sorry you went through that. It hurts to see that happen to anyone. I'll never understand how chemo that kills your immune system is supposed to help it.
Rodney, also have you looked into possibly a fungal infection? Read around at www.knowthecause.com to see if anything seems familiar and what to do if you think so.

can u elaborate on more of what your saying, like of each of these u have suggested, what do you think i should do. Like what are the best probiotics? Everyone says do something, but for people who no nothing abou them can u suggest what probiotic i should take, and what is collodial silver and where to get it?

I had pleurisy, and honestly it's no fun. It hurts to breathe in deeply, feels like someone is stabbing you etc. But since it is similar to mono there is really only one way to cure it.
For about three weeks I just ate vegetables and drank water, and it went away. Never has come back.
That worked for me!

wow, well how long did you have it before you decided to fix it. It has been like almost a year i have been having this. Is there a way to tell the difference between sarcoidosis and pleurisy? I dont ever have to cough at all, but its basically a pressure in the left lung area, not really to sharp unless im stressed.

I had it only a month or two until I began treating it...I was under A LOT of stress and pressure doing SO many things that this illness forced me to cut back.
I don't know if there is a way to tell the difference. sorry.
I didn't have to cough all that much but when I did, I DID.
