does anyone know of any good books that deal with relating to people, orhelp understand behavioral patterns of people. im notmuchof a people person, real shy, but i think if i understood people better i could improve this so im looking for a book ot so to study
The best way to learn to relate to other people is to understand your own behavior patterns. When you know what makes you tick and why you think and behave the way you do, you will begin to recognize how different everyone is. Our experiences shape who we are. But, if you dig deep, you can find something in common w/everyone you meet. Focus on that, not on your differences and you will find w/ practice you can "relate" to almost everyone you meet. People are absolutely fascinating and I learn something new w/every person I come in contact with. Sometimes it's about me and sometimes it is about them. The more you learn about yourself and others, the more you grow. Don't let shyness stop you. As a "shy" person myself, I realized I avoided eye contact, I started with that and a smile. Amazing what just that little gesture started. Try it. Go to the library, there is always a section with "self-help" books.
You may want to look into reading a book on "social psychology." I have taken a class in this before and found it to be very fascinating. You will probably find that people are more alike than you think in their thoughts and insecurities.

Kevin Trudeau has recommended Dianetics in his Natural Cures books (both of them). Excellent source on knowing why people do things and what everyone is attempting to achieve in life. Personally, I recommend that it be studied in a Dianetics Center closest to you, as it is a study and there are people who can help you get through the material (which is pretty extensive!).
A real good book to read is 'How to win friends and influence people' by Dale Carnegie. Kevin Trudeau recommends it. I got it from the library on CD also. It's nice to listen to it on tape also. It is good to listen to it several times. It's a classic and it's been around for years. People skills are very important so that is a great question and subject to discuss.
Try some Rescue Remedies! If you would like some different flower remedies let me know.
It's ok to be shy, and it's ok to be more of a intreverted person, but if you think your shyness is becoming a problem in your every day to day life, then you will have to step out of your comfort zone. The flower remedies help with just letting go.
