Question for those in Phase 2 about what you can put on the skin
I am 2 weeks into Phase 1 of Dr. Simeon's Protocol, tryng to prepare for Phase 2, and I have a few questions. In regards to what you can put on your skin....can you still use regular deoderant, or should it be organic? What about soap, shampoo and conditioner? Regular or organic? Women - did you use mascara? Also, did anyone ever come up with an alternative to lotion for dry skin? My hands get terribly dry to the point of cracking and bleeding, so I would really appreciate a suitable substitute. Thank you!

hello I'm new to phase 1 too, we are starting tomorrow!! they say don't put anything on your skin that you wouldn't eat. Don't use floride in your toothpaste, use natural deoderant, because of all the harmful poisons that cause breast cancer in women and men! It says in the book that you can use mascara and powder, i recommend mineral powders, which almost all make-up companies sell. We switched to organic shamp. and cond. hair feels better, and i feel better. For the dry skin, try extra virgin coconut oil, it works wonders!! Look it up on the net, you'd be surprised how beneficial it is inside and out! Good Luck

Some one mentioned using mineral oil... but like what?? My husbands hands are starting to crack and be very painful for him...... help soon some please. :)

I found on line, Kiss My Face brand oil free moisturizer. Green tea & ginkgo. It works pretty good. I have been using it on my hands and lips, on phase 2.

olive oil, organic coconut oil, or caster oil is great for a moisturizer...if you are looking at natural and organic you still have to read labels and make sure no toxic or carcinogenic ingredients are included. I use a great line, but understand we can't recommend certain products, is that correct?

those all are great products to use... but when on phase 2 of the protocol you can't use coc. oil or any kind of oil.

I have been using Tate's The Natural Miracle shampoo and conditioner for my hair. The conditioner can also be used as a lotion of which I put on my face and hands. I have been doing this and still had fantastic results in phase 2. I also used Bare minerals makeup and do fine. The Tate's stuff is absolutely awesome!!!!!!!!!My hair has never been so soft. No funky smell, and you can eat it too (if you choose I guess). All ingredients are things like apples, strwaberries, ginder root, chamomielle, etc. Check it out. They have a web address and have found some on ebay as well, but like to order from the families web site.

If you don't gain weight and are still losing with what ever products you are using ..then keep it up. But, if you read the book..Kevin talks about products that are unhealthy for you..I think he wants us all to get away from those type of products that he mentions. It's about not only losing weight..but it's about your health too. He seems to think that alot of the products that we use are the reason for diseases as well as are struggle with weightloss. For toothpaste, I always use Tom's Of Maine..you can get it at Walgreens. For Deodrent..I also use Tom's Of Main..also get at Walgreens. For Shampoo a brand by aubreys or biologe.For skin..I use pure Aloe Vera or a Oil free product by Alba or Neutrogena oil free lotion. Also For Soap..try and use an oil free soap..the shampoo and soap will not effect your results if you wash it off immediatly.

Tom's of Maine has fluoride in it, you should stay away from that brand.

Im am in my 3rd week of phase 2 and i see a dr for all of this i have lost 16 pounds and use everything i want .I really dont think you have to use other products. Im not and still loosing.
