Does anyone know of any natural cures for RLS? I have this pretty bad, and I hate going to the doctor for my personal health problems. I don't know why? So to be able to sleep now I have to either take one of my boyfriend's pain pills, or a couple of ativan that get gets from his Chron's disease. Either of these help to calm my legs down, and I can sleep, it's so wonderful. If I don't take anything, I will usually toss and turn every 10 minutes, it's bad. I know you're probably thinking it's really bad for me to be taking those meds when I could take something less. But, I have tried Tylenol PM (recommended by the doc), advil, ibuprofen, and any other over-the-counter pain reliever. The problem is, they make the feeling worse! I was talking to my grandma, and she said that she had a little bit of that, went to the doc, and was taking tylenol PM too. She said that it also made it worse after awhile, and the doc said that she might be allergic to it. So I'm thinking I might be too. The thing I really want to do is not take any meds for this at all. Anyone that has RLS will understand the frustration and need to sleep, and the annoying feeling in the legs. I've tried exercising, and I'm on the Simeon's protocol and it really hasn't improved. Maybe it's because I'm only on day 5? Any help with this would be wonderful. Thanks!

glyconutrients gives your cells, which are the basis of your immune system, what they need to heal yourself. Remember you body doesn't care what ailment you have. Give it what it needs and you will heal. It is that easy...I am here to answer any of your questions... Have a great weekend. Kenny Estee

How about hot and cold water therapy. Go to the shower run the hot water as hot you can handle on the leg and then run the cold water on the leg. Do this back and forth for about seven time or less. Not sure for how long, run the hot water on for couple of seconds and cold water couple of seconds on the part of the body to be treated.
I read report people use this type of treatment to treat disease like cancer. The theory is to get the blood circulated to that part of the body. Hot get the blood close to the skin and cold get the blood away from the skin.when you repeat hot and cold, the blood is going back and forth. This going back and forth help the body circulate the blood.
Dr. Richard Schulze has a theory.I think it call a Blockage Theory. People develop the disease because of the lack of blood on that part of the body.

That my amateur opinion.

Amanda, There are many different variables to consider here. Magesium is great, get the good kind, about 500 mgs
twice a day.
Cut back on the high protien in your diet, slow liver function causes, somthing called liver blood stagnation.
B12 and B6 can also help.
Use milk thisle to jump start your liver or blood stagnation.
If you are a A blood type, vitamin E will help.
good luck

Thanks Brian. Could it possibly be making it worse that I'm on the Simeon's Protocol phase 2? My main dishes are only chicken and beef, cuz I don't like fish. Also, has anyone else has extreme sensitivity with RLS? If I just rub or touch my legs (mainly the thighs) it feels like one big bruise. And oh my gosh does it hurt when someone jokingly slaps my legs. I also feel this sensitivity a little big in my upper arms and my butt.

Morning,
I have never used the Simeons aproach.
We have helped many individuals with RLS.
If you have a history of digestive problems, use your Ca and Mg with a digestive enzyme.
Most people truely dont assimilate their Ca or Mag.
Omega 3 or fish oils will decrease some soft tissue problems.
Patients that are very acidic, hurt everywhere, they are usually stress addicts with adrenal disorders. I call them acid heads.
Avoid coffee, soda, alcohol and cooked tomato
Standerd process has a product called S-P complex to heip take the acid out of your system.
be good.

Hi Amanda, I did see a blurb on the news about RLS being linked to low iron levels for some people. Make sure the doc checked for this maybe.

Have you started glyconutrients yet? There is so much science out there validating glycobiology. You can't go wrong.

RLS is an auto-immue disease. Your immune system is attacking itself. By modulating your immune system, you will, in effect, get rid of your conditon. There are ways to do that...
