I used to pop Midol like crazy when I was on my period because I get cramps, fatigue, and also food cravings, sooooooo badly! Now that I have not taken any type of drug since, well my last period, I don't want to do it again! What are some miracle natural cures for this? If I don't have something to kill then pain then I can't make it through the day.

Wow! Goes to show how "safe" these drugs that the FDA claim to be really are.

Here is something interesting. Anybody ever try oil pulling? I was just reading about it and I guess it can cure so many things, including pms. All you do is get sesami or sunflower oil, take one tablespoon before you brush your teeth in the mornings, tilt your head back, and swish, suck, chomp, and pull the oil through your teeth. You do that for 10-20 minutes, then spit it out. The oil should be thin, white, and foamy. It is supposed to detoxify your body. I am going to try it!

Sarah it's the funniest thing. I never purchased any magnets but my son got a magnetic doodler with magnetic stamps shaped like a triangle, circle, and square. So, I took the triangle, circle, and square stamps and put it where I was feeling pain(lower abdominal bikini area). I have to keep holding on to them so they don't fall but if you like there are magnets that you can just strap on so you don't have to worry about them falling. Here is the website:http://www.magnetictherapymagnets.com/therapy.html

Sarah, you can also find progesterone cream at homefirst.com. It would be best though to first get a blood test to check if you are truly low or else too much progesterone can cause the same problems!
Read some of the articles at womentowomen.com. There is also a good book called "The Schwarzbein Principle" by Diana Scwhwarzbein, MD. It is filled with great information on balancing your whole body.
I'm working on the same issues as you are and sad to say there is no magic cure! It's going to take time and work to get your hormones back in a healthy balance. Believe me, I know how badly you feel, it's HORRIBLE! I sometimes need a small glass of wine to calm down or a box of chocolate, or both, lol! There are reasons for these cravings, related to serotonin and hormones and it can all be fixed.
