I've read Kevin Trudeau's book "The Weight Loss Cure." I'm desperate to purchase HSG and want to know where to get it. Has anyone used it and what were your results?!
Chris,
Lisa never said that she was going to turn anyone in. She is just being helpful to people who live in the general vicinity of Colorado Springs and she is being informative. What is wrong with that?
Thank-you Lisa

As for the hCG question, the best and safest route would be to follow the advice of other people who are dealing with GHI Medical in Florida. If you google GHI Medical you'll get their webpage.
As for me, I was struck with misdiagnosis when treated for an old injury and further was given medication that I was very much allergic to--proper care could have prevented this. This caused my pancrease and liver to all but shut down, and further it gave me kidney damage and induced a diabetic condition and pseudo-gout. So for anyone who doubts the validity of Mr. Trudeau's first two books I can tell you from experience that he wasn't being sensational, and that pharmaceuticals should in fact be avoided in anything but a crisis situation--and even then, there is no promise that you will be made 'better'. I'm proof of that.
Being an herbalist I helped myself as best I could, but the imbalance it caused with the other glands locked my body in starvation mode and everything I ate (normally vegetarian with fish on occassion) went straight to fat. The weight gain was truly explosive and within a year it turned life threatening (I went from 198 pounds to 324 in just under 11 months). I turned to hCG to correct the imbalaces since the weight would not come off and I will state on the record that the treatment does work. To this I must add my sincerest thanks to Mr. Trudeau since without his book I doubt I would ever have discovered hCG; I cannot begin to imagine the fate that lay before me had I not discovered his book and utilized the treatment.
As for the treatment with hCG, I would highly suggest getting the actual document that was authored by the doctor in question since, with all due respect to Mr. Trudeau's book, which I must say is well worth the purchase, the recipe plan he laid out is a little misleading; for instance, several seasonings cannot be used and hamburger cannot be used in the US or its territories due to its fat content and the marbling process where it is allowed to rot: only veal can be used by those in the US. Also, there must be very specific regulation of the vegetable matter consumed, for example it is much more than a large handful or just one tomato. Further, many of the items he recommends could be done without. However, in Mr. Trudeau's defense, I would also like to point out that he says as much in his book and therefore those naysayers who call the man a fraud for this reason and for the presumption that he is a sensationalist should be ignored.
If you like, I can post an accurate menu plan with specific weights for foods and their caloric values. I based this menu plan specifically on the document that was Mr. Trudeau's source and strictly adheared to it. If you follow it, you will lose on average 1 to 3 pounds per day and be well fed. Personally, I consistently lose between 2 and 4 pounds per day on this menu plan I developed from the source document. I'm not tired, I don't look drawn and haggard, I don't suffer hunger and I have a great deal of energy. I can honestly say that I can see the fat melting away every time I look in the mirror, especially in the morning when I weigh. Further, it is all but impossible to put the weight back on once you have finished a full course. You really have to abuse yourself to do so.
Oh, one more thing: do not inject with a 'special K' pinch as diabetics do. You must inject in the upper quadrant of the buttock, preferably into the muscle or as close as possible to the muscle. The reason for this is the muscle of the buttock and the surrounding tissue is always active and thus it circulates the hCG almost immediately.
I hope this helps you and whoever else is intersted. :)

First, let me try to save everyone some money by pointing out that this post will outline the bare essentials of what one will need. That said, you will have to make some investments. Furthermore, if you do not choose to follow to follow the detoxification and bowel cleansing, which I fully suggest you do for maximum results, then you will save even more. Regarding the detox and cleansing portion, I didn't necessarily adhere to Mr. Trudeau's outline. Rather, I supplemented it.
Also, many of the items in Mr. Trudeau's book are very expensive due to the quality and/or brand name of the product, and in fact will work quiet efficiently with the Simeons Protocol. However, I'm not necessarily new the realm of natural health care, and so I experimented with the intention to disprove and also to pare the list down to bare essentials—this is parlty due to my being pragmatic and spartan, which my wife often teases me about. :)
Now, here is a very small and specific list of things to do and acquire prior to obtaining hCG.
First, read through Mr. Trudeau's book, 'The Weight Loss Cure They Don't Want You to Know About'. This will lay the groundwork for what you need to do and what you are up against—but bear in mind the information is somewhat generalized. Nonetheless, thanks once again to Mr. Trudeau for publishing this book!
Second, obtain Dr. Simeons' paper entitled 'Pounds And Inches'. This was Mr. Trudeau's source document and it will explain in detail all that needs to be done, why the protocol works, and what must be avoided. As a note, this document is what I used in devising the menu; I did not do so with the first session. Instead, I followed Mr. Trudeau's instructions and while I did lose weight prior to using the Simeons Protocol, I had mediocre results afterwards following his menu. I found this perplexing and began to research on my own because the initial results were very good, but then I plateaued for almost a week and no 'apple day' would break it. I then would lose perhaps 4 pounds and plateau again. Obviously, the majorities of people who experiences this will be dismayed and give up.
After reading the appropriate literature, it is highly important to detoxify the body and cleanse the colon. First, I would suggest at least a month of supplements and corrective diet—which of course is what Mr. Trudeau recommends. Thus, it would be extremely beneficial to follow the 'phases' Mr. Truedeau outlines in his book that lead up to the Simeons Protocol. However, the list of products are somewhat conflicting and those who are overly toxic may find that the mixture does them little good and may, in some cases, affect them adversely.
Here is the list of supplements I used along with my dietary regimen (I have substituted meats since tempeh is sometimes hard to find as are shitakes, and it would seem people do not even wish to try portobella mushrooms as a meat substitute even though their texture and taste are quite steak-like)
Jarrow Formulas Krill Oil - This is, in my opinion, a better product than those listed, and it contains vegetable based capsules, which are perfectly healthy. However, those who are allergic to shellfish should not take this product regardless of the manufacturer.
Jarrow Formulas Heavy Metal Detox – vegetarian capsules, took 1 capsule 2 times per day. Note that this product also contains chelation, which aids in drawing out toxins and poisons.
Source Naturals Daily Essential Enzymes – This is a very good broad-spectrum digestive enzyme in vegetarian form.
Source Naturals Acetyl L-Carnitine – 250mg, took 1 tab twice per day.
Source Naturals Coral Calcium – 1200mg, took 1 tab per day.
CoQ-10 -- This is essential for heart function, and it aids in detoxification since it promotes blood flow, which is how the toxins are removed from the tissues and organs and carried to the kidneys and bowel to be excreted. I used 30mg tab, once per day, though some may take more. If you cannot get this product from Source Naturals a good alternative would appear to be Natrol. An important note to take into consideration about CoQ-10 usage is this: the majorities of people are not aware that CoQ-10 is largely ineffective when not taken with Vitamin A. Therefore, let me recommend that since both these products are highly expensive, Vitamin A can be derived from natural sources as nature intended. These sources include: fish oil (hence Krill Oil is essential and it is for this reason I listed it as a necessity), all green and yellow vegetables, cantaloupes, carrots, broccoli, asparagus, sweet potatoes, peaches, and greens such as chard, beet greens and kale. I've tried to limit the list to those that are readily available and familiar. Also, animal liver contains high concentrations of Vitamin A, as does fish liver oil. So for those who don't want to eat meat, you do have alternatives.
Norwegian Kelp – 225mcg (mcg is micrograms) per day. This contains iodine and is essential for thyroid function, and helps burn fat and stabilize weight. However, too much iodine will cause the thyroid function to dull and slow or even cease the secretion of the hormone from this gland. This will lead to illness. Signs of iodine overdose are sores in the mouth, metallic taste, swollen glands and sickness including diarrhea and vomiting. Therefore, it is essential to monitor usage of this tablet when attempting to stabilize the weight and cleanse the body. The only reason I used this was due to the glandular disruption I suffered—which I mentioned in my previous post. Further, I didn't use all of the product. Natural Iodine is found in fresh garlic, lima beans, asparagus, spinach, chard, mushrooms and so on. Thus, once I began to notice changes in my mouth I immediately ceased taking this product.
A final word about supplements—if you are on medication of any kind you should speak to your doctor about any supplement you may take. Further, it would be in your best interest to fist consult with a practicing doctor or qualified herbalist when taking supplements.
As for cooking, do not use anything other coconut oil (and it is good to take a teaspoon or two of that every day). Olive oil is good for frying and other uses, but too much olive oil leads to other health problems that people can do without. Let me also point out that common, store-bought spices in the US are nutritionally worthless and as a rule detrimental to one's health. The two basic spices are sea salt (or kosher salt) and pepper. Do not use butter unless it is raw and organic, and if you prefer an good alternative to dairy based butter there is Earth Balance non-hydrogenated buttery spread, which tastes better than any regular butter on the market. Also, for those who want to know what true spices taste like, I would recommend going to www.mountainroseherbs.com .
Before moving to the menu, let me point out that once you are finished using these products for a month do not continue to take them. No supplement is meant for long-term use, and the body is actually damaged if one attempts to do so. Take the supplements only until the condition is normalized and no longer. Furthermore, some will notice that I did not mention a multi-vitamin. I don't particularly care for multivitamins since they conflict with other products that might be needed at the moment. Further, the diet I followed didn't necessitate one since all the vitamins and minerals needed are found in the diet. Also, you need to keep hydrated. You need to drink at least 2 litres (half gallon) of water per day. Mr. Trudeau recommends Volvic and Fiji water, which are excellent products. However, Pure New Zealand Artesian Water is also very good and it is under five US dollars for 1 US gallon—plus, it is artesian water, just like Fiji and Volvic—hence you can save yourself a lot of money and use it during the Simeons Protocol as well. Pure New Zealand Artesian Water is found at Trader Joes, which is an excellent and cost-effective organic food store. Also, do not forget to invest in a 30-day supply of ThreeLac, which is probably the best product available for the treatment of yeast. And please keep in mind that yeast is found throughout the body—even in the brain. This must be dealt with. For those who can't find it at their stores or on the internet, ThreeLac is obtainable through Amazon.com.
Finally, you need to cut out all dairy milk, especially that of US and Canadian origin. Soy milk is a good substitute, but please be aware that Silk and Westsoy pack the pounds and inches on a body due to the oils and additives found in them. Personally, I prefer Trader Joes Soy Milk, and one can sample almond milk as well which is very good if you get the right company—as a side note, almonds and almond milk are very good for a variety of ailments and is used in several effective Ayurvedic remedies. You also need to avoid all soda—if you do want a soda then Boylans is what I would recommend since it uses natural products including cane sugar. Now, on to the diet which, when coupled with the above information, dovetails nicely with the 'Phase 1' section in Mr. Trudeau's book.
For 30 days you should have:
A nice big breakfast: for example, a big bowl of cereal or two eggs and 4 chicken sausages (vegan sausages will do as well if they contain the B vitamins and so on), or a nice bowl of oatmeal. Flavor the cereal with cinnamon and cane sugar, and sprinkle cinnamon, black pepper and paprika on the eggs. Also, season the oatmeal with better and cinnamon and organic honey as you like. Stevia is also a good sweetener. At breakfast eat your fill.
Here I want to point out a rule that is basic food combining, which helps the body properly digest its food. Other than cereal and oatmeal, eat the eggs first and sausage last so that the food will be properly digested. In all meals you should work from the lighter foods to the heaviest. The lighter foods take the least amount of time to digest and the heavier foods take longer. Thus, when working with your meal in this manner the food breaks down normally and doesn't rot in the stomach before moving to the intestine for absorption. Save the majority or all of your drink for last.
Around 9 am have a nice apple or two, or a banana, or some other fruit including a wedge of watermelon. Or, you can have a large berry drink.
Around 11 have another snack!
At noon to 1 pm, have a nice lunch. I'd recommend a large salad. And I do mean large. Use a whole head of lettuce if you can, and to it add a large apple that has been corred and cut up into nice, bite-sized chunks. Then have several large portabella mushroom or two that can be stuffed, grilled, broiled and so on. Portabellas have a meaty texture and are a good substitute for meat. If you're a meat eater than go for a large, boneless and skinless chicken breast—just make sure that is is organic and free range. You can season it however you want. Eat your fill of this but don't over eat. As for a dressing, I make my own honey dijon with canola mayo, but suitable ready-made dressing are readily available in any market.
At about 3, you can have a nice bowl of hummus (recipes are readily available as are dips and spreads, which taste very good and meat eaters will be reminded of choice potted meat or a very tasty pate, for which it can be a substitute) and a large bowl of mixed, raw vegetables that should include raw carrots, raw cauliflower and raw broccoli. Hummus is heart healthy and a good spice for it is paprika and a bit of pepper or lemon pepper. Personally, I love raw veggies and hummus, and I pick at this so much it could be meal 4 and 5 of the day.
Around 6, you should have a nice supper including a soup and/or salad to start (could be leftovers from lunch!), then greens such as chard, kale, asparagus, followed by some squash and tomato. Then your heavier mushrooms, fish or meats. Of course, sauces are allowed if they come from the pan the meal was cooked in. No food after this save for perhaps a nice snack about an hour before bed.
Breads can be had if they are organic, but should be limited in usage. Croûtons can be made from old bread that is baked or toasted. Also, it is not well known but buffalo meat tastes better than steak, and is as healthy as lean chicken. Further, if one chooses to eat meat, I would suggest kosher meats as well as organic meats.
Finally, I would like to recommend an exercise regimen. Being a practitioner of yoga and other forms of exercise, I had to keep myself in shape as best I could when my illness and resultant weight gain struck. Knowing that many who are overweight or obese suffer embarrassment at exercising in a public park, beach, studio or gym, and many more simply do not have the money to purchase a home gym or the money for ongoing massages and whatnot, let me recommend 'Ancient Secrets of the Fountain of Youth' by Peter Kelder, available at any bookstore. These are gentle exercises that anyone can do regardless of age or physical condition, and they will improve your physical conditioning.
After 30 days of this diet, the supplements and exercise your body should be in fairly good shape, its ph balance normalized to the extent your level of toxicity and health will allow, and your bowl function should be at least stable. So now it is time to get rid of the rest of what the diet and supplements couldn't reach.
The easiest method would be the 7 Day Miracle Cleanse since it contains a product called parasine. The other products that were recommended really were not that effective and a google search will show their ratings. But 7 Day Miracle Cleanse is actually quite good, and it is what I used. When a person eats incorrectly or is a lover of meat and farmed seafood, parasites take hold in the bowel and spread through the entire body, keeping a person malnourished and toxic while promoting yeast growth. That is why parasine is so important when cleansing the bowel. Follow 7 Day Miracle Cleanse course to the letter and you'll be ready for the Simeons Protocol. 7 Day Miracle Cleanse can found at www.7dmc.com .
At this point you're ready to begin the Simeons Protocol and you've probably lost a great deal of weight to begin with by following Mr. Trudeau's 'Phase 1'. Again, I urge you to read the Simeons paper throughly. In fact, you should do so several times. Naturally, you will need hCG to complete the Simeons Protocol and the safest company that will do this for you is GHI Medical. The fee includes the necessary blood work, exam and instructions so that you can begin the protocol. The website for GHI Medical can be found here at:
For those who do not have a doctor, the physical can be obtained for a reasonable price at any walk-in clinic that does physical exams for jobs. Once your paperwork is completed, signed, sent and the fee paid you will be prescribed your hCG and it will be sent to you along with a supply of syringes. Here I can point out that you may go to any Walgreens and obtain a medical waste bin for syringes very cheaply and you may dispose of them at Walgreens.
Let me further state that I've seen several people talk about hCG in oral form. That simply does not work and is a scam. Therefore it is best to avoid it. I chose this company (GHI Medical) because it followed what Dr. Simeons outlined in his paper. If a person reading this knows of another company that does the same and is cheaper then I would ask that they please post it for the benefit of all. Again, I point out that hCG cannot be taken orally or injected into the subcutaneous fat surrounding the belly as is done with diabetics; it must be injecting into the buttock as I described in my previous post, which adheres to the directions given by Dr. Simeons.
At this point one need not endure a week of gorging as Dr. Simeons described since, as the paper states, your fat reserves are stocked from eating regular meals to capacity for at least a month in 'Phase 1'. Therefore, one may simply gorge for the first few days only as is outlined Dr. Simeons' text. However, I once again stress that only organic sweets, cakes, fried foods and so on be used. Sources for such foods include Whole Food, Trader Joes and typically any other large health food store.
For the protocol you should be well stocked on drinking water (Artesian water is needed, and from experience I can say that Pure New Zealand Artesian Water works extremely well). You'll also want organic salts, peppers, spices and lemons or organic lemon juice for seasoning. As a matter of note, Rose Mountain Herbs has seasoning blends for a variety of meals, and Trader Joes has organic spice rubs for meats, poultry and seafood—all of which are affordable and quite good. Those who do not have a grill should get one, and if you cannot find a good propane indoor grill that is Teflon-free, then an inexpensive grill such as a George Foreman will do (I was forced to use a George Foreman grill while I was repairing my cast iron grill and it did not affect my weight loss—but make sure you clean it with a soft, Teflon-rated brush of the Teflon will come off and harm you)
The menu for the diet is straightforward and those who have a vacuum packing machine can save money by purchasing in bulk. Further, you can save time by packaging the proteins in 100 gram packets and keep them in the freezer until you are ready for them. The most important thing to remember about the Simeons Protocol diet is that your daily rations must not exceed 500 calories per day, and must not fall below 200 calories. Ideally, you want the calorie count as close to 500 as possible, and no less than 475-480 calories. If you keep your caloric intake between this mark you will gain the greatest benefit from hCG. Also, melba toast and grissino are nearly impossible to find, and when they are found they contain non-organic contaminants, soy, various oils or worse (including bleached flour). As one item may be removed from the menu, I would suggest that the bread be selected. I did and it has not affected my reduction in weight in any way.
Also, I must point out that the various teas Mr. Trudeau lists in his book are not found in Dr. Simeons' paper, and from my experience simply are not needed. Standard teas of the time in which Dr. Simeons' did his research and wrote his paper included oolong, chamomile, earl grey, green tea and Indian tea. I would highly suggest that Yerba Mate, Wu Long and Eleotin tea be absolutely avoided due to the stress it puts on the glands, which are already being taxed by the hCG. Over-taxation will without doubt cause failure, and due to these teas being foods in their own right, they push the caloric count past the limit and upset the chemical reaction of the foods that are prescribed. Furthermore, residents of the US must avoid any type of beef, included grass fed beef and any type of beef product regardless of it being labeled organic or not. The only meat that may be used is veal. Finally, do not use lamb. Dr. Simeons specifically stated that only veal, beef (if outside of the US), chicken breast, fresh white fish (cod, sea bass, et cetera), lobster, crab or shrimp may be used. He does not mention lamb. In following these adjustment, and adhering to what Dr. Simeons originally wrote and published, my results were better than Mr. Trudeau's book can get across to the reader. Again, I'm not taking away from Mr. Trudeau. I'm only relating what my experiences, research and experimentation has proven and disproven.
For the Simeons Protocol diet the three groups you need to consider are meats, vegetables, and fruits. While Dr. Simeons lays out a regimen for vegetarians, my medical condition precluded such a path so I opted for meat. Further, the vegetarian regimen does not lead to as much weight loss (hence my decision). Those who are interested will find the relevant information in Dr. Simeons' paper.
As Dr. Simeons noted, the protien must be weighed raw, with no fat, skin or bone allowed. Again I state that hamburger or any other beef product in the US and its territories cannot be used; you must use veal. And with that, the proteins I chose to use were veal, chicken, shrimp and cod.
100 grams of veal produces 180 calories
100 grams of chicken produces 187 calories
100 grams of shrimp produces 106 calories
100 grams of cod produces 82 calories
The vegetables were selected for their nutritional value: asparagus, chard (I use red swiss chard), cucumber, spinach (I use baby spinach), tomato.
20 grams of of asparagus produces 4 calories
48 grams of chard produces 9 calories
52 grams of cucumber produces 8 calories
30 grams of spinach produces 7 calories
20 grams of tomato produces 5 calories
The fruits were also selected for their nutritional value: apple, orange and strawberry—especially strawberries. When it comes to strawberries one does not need a kitchen scale. All one needs is a measuring cup. To prepare the strawberries simply cut the tops off where the green is located, if it has not been done so already. I use Valencia oranges and Gala apples. The apples should be cored and I season mine with a little salt and pepper on occasion (this is not necessary).
1 apple produces 55 calories
1 orange produces 62 calories
1 cup strawberries produces 46 calories
The melba toast or grissino typically weigh 3 grams and produce 12 calories.
With these values at hand, I must now stipulate that you need to eat at the same time, every day. This keeps the metabolism high and steady and promotes the effectiveness of the hCG. Furthermore, you must inject at the same time every day to keep the hCG at a constant level. My personal regimen consists of weighing at 6 am. Shot at 8 am. Breakfast (piece of fruit) at 9 am. Lunch at noon, supper at 5 pm.
It is also important to note that you cannot have the same meal at supper as you had at lunch. Further, you cannot have the same menu over several consecutive days. You must vary your diet. This holds true for the fruit as well. Thus, with the caloric values in hand, and the meat dressed, weighed and prepared for cooking, a menu for four days may look something like this:
Day 1:
Breakfast: 1 Orange 62 cal.
Melba/Grissino 12 cal - OMITTED
Lunch: Veal 180 cal.
Cucumber 24 cal. (156 grams)
Supper: Chicken 187 cal.
Asparagus 24 cal. (180 grams)
________________________________________________
489 cal. (477 cal. without the Melba/Grissino)
Day 2:
Breakfast: 1 Apple 55 cal.
Melba/Grissino 12 cal - OMITTED
Lunch: Shrimp 106 cal.
Tomato 70 cal. (280 grams)
Supper: Veal 180 cal.
Spinach 70 cal. (300 grams)
________________________________________________
493 cal. (481 cal. without the Melba/Grissino)
Day 3:
Breakfast: 1 Orange 62 cal.
Melba/Grissino 12 cal - OMITTED
Lunch: Chicken 187 cal.
Chard 78 cal. (408 grams)
Supper: Cod 82 cal.
Asparagus 78 cal. (370 grams)
________________________________________________
499 cal. (487 cal. without the Melba/Grissino)
Day 4:
Breakfast: 1 cup Strawberries 49 cal.
Melba/Grissino 12 cal - OMITTED
Lunch: Veal 180 cal.
Spinach 35 cal. (150 grams)
Supper: Chicken 187 cal.
Cucumber 34 cal. (208 grams)
________________________________________________
494 cal. (482 cal. without the Melba/Grissino)
As can be seen, the vegetables make quite a hefty amount of food. Thus, one gets a feeling of fullness provided the meal isn't woofed down. With the caloric values and weights known, the variety of the menu can be varied easily, which keeps the dieter interested and the hCG protocol at peak efficiency.
As I said in my previous post, I followed the guidelines of the Simeons Protocol to the letter when devising this menu, and the menu samples above are a portion of what I use. I don't drink any teas or use the melba/grissino. I drink the water and adhere to this menu and nothing more. I don't go hungry and I have plenty of energy. On an average day I lose anywhere from 2 to 4 pounds and have yet to plateau. I hope this helps all who are interested.
Hi Xan, Thank you so much for your menu. I think it will greatly help.I have my syringes and bact water just waiting on the Hcg. What part of phase one is absolutely necessary, or at least to your advantage to aid in wt. loss.
I have been very worried about this part of the protcol. We dont really have health food stores around here so organic is just about out of the question and I really dont have any idea how to prepare this food so that it will taste good. You know here in the south we fry everything!!! Not really but we do use alot of grease in our foods. Any suggestions from anyone would be great.

I'm glad my post in this thread helped. :) By the way, several have asked where to get Dr. Simeons' book. I was of the understanding that it was found someplace on this website. However, for the record you can get it from Amazon.com. Here's the link:
As for what Pam wrote, let me say that the diet I followed was essential for me. Eating a healthy diet is not a new concept in the realm of natural health, nor is eating several meals throughout the day. But people—and especially Americans—have fallen victim to the fast food industry and marketing machine that makes you think you have to eat a ton of food at one time. That's wrong. And that, accompanied by what the food industry does to the foods through chemical and genetic modification and irradiation, has caused an epidemic of starvation and people are completely unaware of it. It is a terrible thing when people eat and eat and eat and yet are starving because the food is nutritionally worthless. Of course, those who have been involved in Earth movements and organic health know this, and Mr. Trudeau exposed this in his books—but that's not to say that the Earth movement and organic lifestyle embraces Mr. Trudeau as a poster child or spokesperson: I assure you that we don't. But let me return to my train of thought.
The diet I followed was essential for me, and it is healthy and well-balanced. But above all, you need to vary the fruits, vegetables and meats (if not using mushrooms and tempeh) in the pre-protocol diet of phase 1 to keep the body supplied with the vitamins, minerals and nutrients it needs. On this note, let me say something about the small list of supplements I put down in my last post. The reason why I chose and listed so few was because the vegetables, fruits and proteins augment their effectiveness, and what the body does not need is passed in the stool or urine naturally. Thus, the menu and supplements work together and not against each other. That's why I frowned on the huge list of stuff in Mr. Trudeau's 'phase 1'. Thus we arrive at your question: is phase 1 necessary and if so what parts?
I acknowledge that a body detox, yeast cleanse and colon cleanse are necessary for the vast majorities of people. Hence Mr. Trudeau was right on the mark. As a matter of note, many in the health and organic lifestyle will diet, fast and cleanse their body once or twice a year to make sure they are healthy.
However, a lot of the things he recommends aren't necessary, and many times are superfluous. When I went through the 'phase 1 list' I picked the following as bare essentials:
1.Water. You have to have two litres/half US gallon of water per day as a minimum to replace what you use in breathing, perspiration, digestion and excretion. Drinking more will be good for you and you will notice a relief in constipation and bladder retention as a proportional result to the amount of water you drink over the minimum within a few days.
2.Walking and getting some sun, and sleeping regularly.
3.Replacing cooking oil and grease with organic coconut and olive oil. Grapeseed oil is a good substitute for cooking oil as well.
4.Apples. Organic only, 2 to 4 per day at a minimum.
5.Organic grapefruit is good if a person is not allergic to it or medication prevents its use. Apples and grapefruit as part of the mix of an organic fruit salad for one of your snacks is really good!
6.Organic apple cider vinegar.
7.ThreeLac
8.Organic Green Tea (the best is organic Japanese or Chinese, found in Asian food stores)
9.Eat six times per day.
10.Organic cinnamon. This is excellent in berry drinks.
11.No microwaving—it renders food the food nutritionally inert and alters the food so that it merely rots in the bowel.
12.Shower filter.
13.Use an air handler (air conditioner) as little as possible.
14.Eat only organic meats (if a meat eater), seafood, fruits, drinks, vegetables and so on. If it isn't organic, don't eat it.
15.Add fiber to your diet. To this I would recommend Forti-Flax from Barlean's. It is absolutely delicious over salads and can be added to just about anything. It also contains a lot of other vitamins, minerals and oils in their natural form. Here is the link to their website for more information:
As for the rest of what is on Mr. Trudeau's 'phase 1' list, it is superfluous and oftentimes repetitive. Let me just say that it is common sense and common knowledge that msg's, nitrates, artificial sweeteners, fast foods, trans fats, soda, farm raised fish and so on should be avoided. Also, while the blurbs about fluorescent lights, infrared saunas and so on are interesting, and they may indeed have merit, I didn't use them. Neither did I use the chaos eliminator.
So out of the list of 'phase 1' those are the 15 things I did and I had no problem at all.
Also, a word on colonics. There is no viable reason to irrigate and flush the colon that many times. It is actually unhealthy to do so since it destroys the flora in the bowel that is needed for digestion, absorption and excretion. All one needs to do is eat correctly using only organic food and drinking water and constipation will clear up on its own. Also, instead of abusing the colon in that way, I can suggest a few organic/herbal remedies:
1 or 2 teaspoons of organic ghee in a cup of hot, organic milk at bedtime. If this does nothing or seems to add to the problem then the person is probably lactose intolerant. In that case you can go another route with castor oil (this is also recommended for obstinate constipation). Make a cup of hot ginger tea (slice fresh ginger and boil it in water or add powdered ginger to hot water) and add about 2 teaspoons of castor oil, and drink it before bed. Increase the dosage each night if it doesn't work, but do not exceed 4 teaspoons of castor oil, and do not use it for more than 3 or 4 days. If you don't have a bm by that time it would be prudent to see a doctor. Thats the old way of cleaning out the colon in preparation for a colonic, which was used to get the plaque and buildup that is stuck on the walls out of the system. As a matter of note, after 30 days of the diet, what is left in the bowel is the hard, glue-like substance that you will need to get rid of, and that is where the colon cleanse comes in, and why I recommended 7DMC.
Finally, let me address the idea of Eleotin tea. Looks good on paper, but the truth is this is nothing new and in my opinion more expensive than what its worth. Though I've never taken the tea I have to point out that cinnamon (actual cinnamon made from bark) helps with insulin and diabetes, and instead of dropping all that money on the Eleotin tea, go down to the pharmacy or health food store and purchase a cheap box of 00 sized capsules (vegetable base preferred), and fill them with the herb tumeric. Take 2 capsules 3 times per day right before your main meals to control insulin. As a matter of note, this is thought to cure pre-diabetic and early diabetic conditions and it also seems to lower blood pressure as well. Those who require insulin should note a drastic decrease in insulin requirements. Take the tumeric caps for no more than a month, and make sure the tumeric is organic. Here let me point out that I'm not a doctor and so before you do any of this go talk to a doctor who specializes in natural health care, and research it on your own to make sure you won't hurt yourself.
As for the massages and yoga and whatnot. Being someone who has practiced Iyengar-style yoga for years, and helping those who are older, overweight and so on, the notion of massages and yoga in 'phase 1' is simply silly for the overweight. Its embarrassing and its difficult as well. No one should ever be made to feel that, especially when they are seeking to improve their health and appearance. Further, yoga done correctly makes massage superfluous, and let me also point out that a thai massage is difficult to find outside of New York or the larger cities on the West coast. Thai massages are expensive and involve stretches. That is why I chose Peter Kelder's book. If you google 5 Tibetan Rites you'll discover a great deal of benefits that these exercises procure for the practitioner.
As for foods, nothing fried. You can do without it for several weeks or months. That's why I pointed to coconut oil as the grease of choice, and grapeseed and olive oil for cooking oil. There are other types of oils too like saffola and canola too. All of these are much healthier than using animal fats and oils, which clog the arteries. Also, if you google health food stores and health food store deliveries, you may find that you can have a lot of your needs addressed through delivery, mail order or a nice drive once a week to a store in your area that you didn't know existed! Also, don't forget to ask your local grociers if they have an organic section or if they know of any organic and health food stores in your area.
Hope this answers your question! Good night all and have a good weekend!

Xan,
Hi, my name is Kate. Can you email me the exact diet you used for the protocol? I am most anxious to begin the program!!! Also, where did you get your HCG?
Hi Roshanda! No not yet. I have read KT's book and just printed out "Pounds & Inches" by A.T.W. Simeons. I am anxiously awaiting delievery of my HCG. Any good info on how to succeed would be greatly appreciated!
Hi! I looked at all of the options and found that www.drugdelivery.ca seemed to be the best option. It has the least amount of shipping and offers the Pregnyl brand manufactured by Organon. If you put 96179 in the coupon code you get a discount and better service! I get my syringes at Wal-Mart and my bac water at my local pharmacy.
