okay - a couple of comments - and i want you to think about seeds in general.
Grinding your own flaxseed is okay... but having it harvested fresh off the fields, dropped into a milling machine directly - and then flash packed and sealed into a light-tight, air-tight bag - is the best option as then the seeds won't degrade.
Seeds left out in the open air or light will oxidize.
I always tell my students that if you think of your body as a car - what happens when you don't put in oil???
Karla, I don't really have a recipe. I mean, I just add ground flaxseeds to my homemade granola, or my homemade bread. That's about it! I do think it's yummy in bread. Makes it nice and soft.
I would like to get the recipe from you for that healthy chocolate cake. I can't seem to find the video anymore. Would you mind sharing it with us all?
If you can't find the chocolate cake recipe in either location - then I will take a look for you.
I like to bake with the flaxseed - it makes everything taste fabulous... and the extra fibre is really great for getting the toxic waste out of your body.
A simple flax drink can be made by boiling distilled water, placing a tea strainer half full of flax seeds in a tea cup, fill cup with the boiling water, allow to steep (over nite) covered, drink in the morning, it will be a somewhat gelatinous fluid, very mild and very healthful.
