Hi everyone.

If you can help me to collect flaxseed recipes - traditional or modern - I would greatly appreciate it.

I have seen most of the ones posted all over the internet - but I am looking for some really tasty, original - exciting - recipes.

I have been trying to educate European people - about the health and healing benefits of milled flaxseed.

I find that recipes help this educational process.

Thank you in advance.

okay - a couple of comments - and i want you to think about seeds in general.

Grinding your own flaxseed is okay... but having it harvested fresh off the fields, dropped into a milling machine directly - and then flash packed and sealed into a light-tight, air-tight bag - is the best option as then the seeds won't degrade.

Seeds left out in the open air or light will oxidize.

I always tell my students that if you think of your body as a car - what happens when you don't put in oil???

Well - the same things happen to our bodies.

Karla, I don't really have a recipe. I mean, I just add ground flaxseeds to my homemade granola, or my homemade bread. That's about it! I do think it's yummy in bread. Makes it nice and soft.

I would like to get the recipe from you for that healthy chocolate cake. I can't seem to find the video anymore. Would you mind sharing it with us all?

All the big money on flaxseed reseach has been conducted by the Canadian government - and you can source that information - www.flaxcouncil.ca

I have some of my own creative recipes - up on my website - www.flaxclub.com and on the networking one - www.flaxclub.ning.com

If you can't find the chocolate cake recipe in either location - then I will take a look for you.

I like to bake with the flaxseed - it makes everything taste fabulous... and the extra fibre is really great for getting the toxic waste out of your body.

A simple flax drink can be made by boiling distilled water, placing a tea strainer half full of flax seeds in a tea cup, fill cup with the boiling water, allow to steep (over nite) covered, drink in the morning, it will be a somewhat gelatinous fluid, very mild and very healthful.

add raw flaxseed meal to cooked oats (after the oats have been cooked, don't cook the flax meal), add raw agave nectar to sweeten if desired. yum
