NEED INSTRUCTIONS on hCG measuring and Injections?????

Here was my resonse. If I copy it here hopefully it will help others, too:

Each 1500 ampoule will give you 7.5 doses. For simplicity, when I use these, I mix 2 at a time, for 15 doses. When I used 3 cc/ml syringes I mixed for .5cc injections. So, for 15 doses/injections at .5cc you need 7.5cc of sterile water. I set my supplies out on a sanitized counter. Wipe ampoules with alcohol wipes and snap open. Set them back out of the way so they don't drop over. Wipe both water vial and mixing vial with alcohol wipes. Open your mixing syringe and put needle on (if they came separate). Draw 7.5cc air, inject it into water vial, draw out 7.5cc water. Inject tiny amount of water into each open ampoule. Inject remaining water into mixing vial. Draw up all diluted hcg and inject into mixing vial. Always be sure to remove air as you inject liquid or you will get too much pressure in your vial, making it difficult to draw out your daily doses. At any point, if you touch the needle to anything not sterile, change it out for a new one!!! When you are done mixing, you can take your sterile needle off the syringe and push the tip back into the mixing vial to equalize the pressure. When you draw out your daily dose, always tip the vial back right-side-up before removing the needle so no drops escape with the needle.
I always inject in the side of my thighs or upper/outer butt if you can reach. When hubby injects for me, I use my shoulder, too. When you insert the needle, be sure to aspirate (pull the plunger back a tiny bit) to make sure you are not in a blood vessel (you would see a tiny amount of blood in the syringe). I STILL HAVE A FEW MORE STUPID QUESTIONS BASED ON THIS GREAT DESCRIPTION. HOW DO I REMOVE AIR AS YOU INJECT LIQUID, I UNDERSTAND INJECTING AIR INTO WATER, HOW DO I REMOVE AIR SO IT DOES NOT MAKE IT HARD FOR ME TO GET OUT MY DAILY DOSE? ALSO WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHEN MIXING IS DONE TAKE STERILE NEEDLE OF SYRINGE AND PUSH THE TIP BACK INTO THE MIXING VIAL TO EQUALIZE PRESSURE. I KNOW I SOUND REALLY STUPID BUT I WANT TO MAKE SURE. I ALSO HAVE THE SAME (6) 1500 AMPOULES, I KNOW YOU SAID TO MIX TWO AT A TIME BUT ONE PERSON SAID FOR 200IU INJECTIONS WITH THE 1500 AMPOULES YOU DRAW OUT 7.5CC OF BC WATER FOR 7 DOES OF 1ML EACH, WHICH IS CORRECT, 7.5 BC FOR ONE BATCH OR TWO. I HOPE I DONT SOUND LIKE TO MUCH OF AN IDIOT. KERRI

Nope, not stupid. There is no such thing as a stupid question.

When you mix, you need to put a LOT of volume of liquid into the vial. I've noticed that vials come with a bit of pressure (too much air) in them. To inject liquid into that, just causes even more pressure. You can't get all that liquid into the vial without removing at least the same volume of air. You already have your liquid in the syringe, so it is easier to "rock back and forth". Stick the needle into the vial (the syringe is full of liquid for mixing) and draw out a little air, push in a little liquid, draw out a little air, push in a little liquid. Keep doing this, while the needle is inserted into the vial, until all the liquid is IN and at least the same volume of air is OUT (in the syringe).

When you are in the process of mixing and injecting into your vial, sometimes you get too much air or not enough air in the vial by the time you are done. So, when you are done mixing, before you toss out your mixing syringe and needle, you can use that needle to equalize the pressure inside your vial. Cover the needle with it's sheath and remove the needle from the syringe (this is to make sure the needle remains sterile while you are handling it). Once you have it off the syringe, hold the needle by the plastic end and pull the sheath off again and insert just the tip of the needle in the rubber seal on the vial, just so it is in the air and not touching the liquid in the vial. As soon as the tip goes through the rubber, the air pressure inside equalizes with the air pressure outside. This esures that when you begin to draw doses out you are not battling either a vaccume or pressure. It just makes drawing injections easier.

THANK YOU SO MUCH, I GET IT NOW. I WILL BE STARTING AFTER THE FIRST OF JANUARY AND WILL BE CALLING YOU FOR SUPPORT. THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR INSIGHT. I DO HAVE ONE MORE QUESTION. I AM GOING TO GET THE INSULIN NEEDLES LIKE YOU GET AT WALMART, BUT AS FAR AS ORDERING THE REST OF MY STUFF FOR MY (6) 1500 AMPOULES, I AM DOING THE 45 DAY AT 200IU EACH DAY. I KNOW I NEED (2) 30CC BC WATER, (6) 10CC SYRINGES, (6) 10CC STERILE VIALS, BUT HOW MANY NEEDLES DO I GET FOR THE MIXING PART, AND WHAT SIZE NEEDLES ARE YOU GETTING FOR THIS. THANKS KERRI.

I keep getting questions about ordering and mixing, so I just posted 2 new discussions under HCG to help with that. If you hvae any questions, just ask :)

I think the best size needles for mixing would 18-20 gauge and at least 1.5" long.

I am doing 200 IUs a day and have completed 3 rounds of p2: 2 were 40 days and 1 was 25 days. I planned a BIG cheat day on Thanksgiving, which was in the middle of my short round. I gained 5.5 lbs back that one day, and lost it all in 3 days back on the 500 cal diet. I've lost a total of 81 lbs (but 79 lbs when you consider my target of last injection weight). I am 8 days into phase 3 and maintaining right on my target weight! I am using the website www.fitday.com to help me with figuring my daily calories and keep my daily intake to about 2000 cal a day. But even on the 2700 cal day I didn't gain back! I will be on phase 4 over Christmas and will begin my 4th round of phase 2 a week into January.

WOW!!!! 81 POUNDS, THAT IS SO AWESOME, YOU SHOULD BE SO PROUD OF YOURSELF. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THE INFO, I DONT THINK W/OUT SPEAKING TO YOU AND GETTING ALL THE INFO THAT I WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET STARTED ON THIS. HI THERE IT IS ME AGAIN KERRI. HOW WAS YOUR HOLIDAYS? I HOPE YOU HAD A GOOD ONE. I WILL BE STARTING IN A COUPLE MORE WEEKS, HAVE HAD SOME SET BACKS WITH KIDS BEING OFF FROM SCHOOL AND VERY SICK. I HAD A COUPLE QUESTIONS FOR YOU. DID YOU USE ANY MAKEUP OR LOTION? I WORK SO I WAS WONDERING IF THERE IS ANY KIND OF MAKEUP I CAN USE, AND I HAVE REALLY DRY SKIN. I THINK I CAN GET SOME MINERAL MAKEUP AND I SHOULD BE OK. JUST THOUGHT I WOULD ASK YOUR INPUT. HAVE YOU STARTED BACK UP YET? HOW ARE YOU DOING? Hi Kerri! We had a wonderful Christmas. I maintained on p3 without a problem, then went on p4 a couple of days before Christmas. That's when I totally blew it! I am up several pounds, but not worried. Tomorrow I begin p2 again and it will come off quickly. My next p3-4 I need to work on portion control. AND there will be no holiday junk on the counters for a month!!
I've used all my lotions and make-up all the way through with no problem. A friend has a chemist friend who says skin products are designed to remain IN the skin and not absorb into our system. The molecules are too big to be absorbed. By the time the skin has broken everything down enough, it is harmless to the diet. I use rich, creamy hand lotions, hair conditioner, make-up, and don't worry about what I get on my hands while cooking. I don't even know anyone who has been bothered by any of that stuff. I think in Simeon's time much of what they used wasn't refined enough or something. There have been so many discoveries and new formulations. But even chicken fat or beef fat or coconut oil or olive oil don't bother me at all. Who knows . . . ?

Not sure about the measuring but I do know you are supposed to give the shot high on the buttocks so it goes right into the muscle...this was in Kevin's book in the QA section.
