I've been losing quite a bit of hair since having my baby almost 4 mo's ago. Have read this is very common. Does anyone know anything about it and what I can do? I'm also breastfeeding
I've been looking at ordering some. They are costly and everybody claims to have the "best"......not sure which one to use. Several on here sell Inliven, I've heard Dr. Ohirra's is the best and Dr. Becker sells his probiotic on BioINnovations and I also received an advertisement in the mail the other day for Flora Source. Any help?
I used to take the Dr ohirras but now i am on the Inliven. Cert organic is what changed my mind. I found out the dr ohirras has some GMO. So I opted for the more natural. If you go to my page you can order it as I loved it and all the other products by this comapany I decided to become a rep last month. Or you can order from any of the other reps on here. Your choice. But I truly believe it is the best one I have seen. It is Whole food also so you dont really have to take any vitamins besides this. All in one, you might say...
You mean, how long does the cantainer last. depends on how you take it. If you do maintenance which is 1 teaspoon a day it will last about 5 weeks. How is your digestion? That will determine how you take it, may want to double up for a couple of months then do maintenance. I dont know about you but with me with preg came constipation.... They are costly, but your health is worth it. You just have to do without something that is not as important, that is what I did.
Thanks Kathy, I will check into that. Yeah, from what I've read that it's fine by the baby's 1st bday. But that seems a long time and my hair has thinned out so much at my temples. I know it will fix itself I was just wondering if there was something natural that I could take to help.
Hi Becky. I have a 5 mont hold and know exactly what you mean. I've read that during pregnancy you don't lose hair so afterwards you lose all of the hair you were supposed to, so it seems excessive. I kind of think that is the conventional medical world's crap answer since they have no idea, lol! I have noticed that this time around I do not lose as much since I continue to take my pre-natal vitamins and am also breasteeding. I take ones from www.homefirst.com, it has probiotics and omega-3s. I thing it must be hormone related. Have your thyroid tested also, this can cause it. If you suffer from post partum depression/anxiety, it could be thyroid related as well. I just tested positive for hypothyroid by the GYN and see my doc Monday. I really do think the vitamins help with the hair loss though as it barely falls out now when I take them twice daily.
Well after my second child was born, I had hair loss, severe fatigue and irritability. My OB said "oh your hormones are still trying to get regulated, call me in a month if it hasn't improved" well I waited and nothing got better. He did a thyroid check TSH and I was low thyroid (actually so low not functioning). It was called post partum hypothyroiditis. Got on the Synthroid initially, it took a month to start feeling better. That was five years ago and my hypothyroid is now being managed much better by my naturapath. Definately get your thyroid checked.
