Boiling water only removes (kills) Biological contaminants such as bacteria, viruses, parasites, etc.
Inorganic materials such as chemicals, heavy metals, or salts are not destroyed by boiling. In fact, when you boil water, you are actually losing the purest form of the water as it is boiled off as steam. What this means is that the remaining water (although free of biological contaminants) will actually have a higher concentration of inorganic substances.
This is in essence how the process of distillation works. The water distiller captures the purified steam vapors and collects them as they cool and condense back into liquid form. Distillation by this method is currently the only method that removes virtually ALL contaminants.
Would it be safe to say that if I boiled my water then ran it through a distiller my water would safe to drink? Just confused and trying to figure if what I am doing is removing flouride, cholrine, heavy metals, etc...We are eventually going to buy a whole house filtration system from equinox but we are moving and want to wait until we move. In the meantime, we are boiling our water then running it though a waterwise 9000. Any input would be great! Thanks! Erica
Holly I'm a little confused by this statement..."As you well know, we are not even animals designed to actually drink water by itself! We really should be getting all of the water we need from our diet of fruit! But how many of us are Fruitarians? But if the water we are drinking is not absorbable, it is not hydrating us at the cellular level."
You know we can survive without food for weeks...maybe even up to 60 days but without water that is questionable? Water is the key to surviving without food. A few mouthfuls of water regularly will allow a person to sustain his/her body much longer. But without water, a person will not last more than 3-5 days. What do you mean we are not designed to actually drink water by itself?
Well what I actually meant by some bottled water false advertised. And it's true it's not the cheapest to buy. We spend so much money on bottled water. I don't drink soda and rarely ever drink juice but I love my water. But I usually buy what ever is on sale..LOL
I have nothing against what you recommended. I was just a little confused by your statement above about we are not designed to drink water by itself. Sure we want to do things to better our health and if that means installing a Filter System by no means go do it. I have nothing against improving our life style. I was referring to REALITY and FACTS. For example just throwing one out there so to speak. Say we were stranded on an island without any food being nearby. No meat, veggies, fruits, breads, etc. I mean absolutely nothing but we can still survive off of just drinking plain old water for weeks. Just survival skills. It's just a well known fact it can be done without the consumption of food....LOL...matter of fact I'm sure your suggestion was all in good intentions. I was just confused by what you meant is all. Sorry for the confusion...Dawn
Holly is doing good, water is not H20. major bottlers sell 5.5 ph water, when was the last time you saw 5.5 ph water in nature? i'll attach a water report i put together from various sources etc, a summary of my findings to validate my suggestion. yes, water is one part of my business, so i know you'll be wary of a sales pitch here, just take the education as it comes. my business is to help people with many aspects of health, i'm not a water sales guy, but a health guy... good luck!
Doctor Max Gerson believe in drinking very little water when doing the gerson therapy, he believed it diluted the nutrients held in freshly made juices.
I also watch a discovery documentary once about a tribe in africa that drank very little water. They would train their children from a very young age not to want it. They lived in a region that had very little water. When they killed an animal they would actually squeeze the juice out of the materials (digested grass and such) that was held in the intestines and drink it. I guess the statement should be that we are very versatile.
In the process of distilling water is boiled and evaporated. Boiling water contaminated with bacteria would make it less harmful not all things are killed with heat. However all the toxins and added poisons (e.g fluoride) would remain.
Bottle water is very harmful it is estrogenic has antimony leaching into it and PCBs. This is the reason I know longer drink Fiji water.
