I have a condition on my arms, I forgot what it was called but my sister and I have had it since birth and the derm gave me ammonium lactate for it. Are there any alternatives to that?
Also, any natural alternatives to sunscreen?
This doesn't have to do with skin, but I can't help but put on some crest white strips every couple of months (in moderation) and I was wondering if there was something else I could use that is just as effective. I used baking soda and it doesn't really do anything. I use arm and hammer toothpaste w/ peroxide and baking soda.
Hi jessica, i just stumbled upon this post....have not been on here for awhile.
Not sure about the first question, but as far the alternative to sunscreen I used badger sunscreen. I have gotton numerous reccomendations for this when I was on the search for a safer alternative. it has no chemicals or harmful substances that the other ones have on the market...
As far as the teeth situation, I believe, not positive that it's normal to have yellowish teeth...having pure white teeth is not natural. So i don't think there is anything tha whitens teeth...I don't think crest white stips will hurt to use. i've used them before myself. The only people that might have a problem with this is extra health consious individuals. I think a little bit of moderation is ok to do things that are not always health savy, Just don't do it often, cause it will strip away at the enamel of your teeth.
thanks! I started using burt's bees sunscreen and it isn't the greatest, it crumbles on my skin! I'm going to have to try that.
It makes me nervous swallowing the crest white strip stuff, but they just came out with a new one that sticks to your teeth really well and doesn't involve any getting away to be swallowed! that makes me feel better about using them.
Yes, I used the strip ones before too, they work much better than the paste one. I hear the paste one does not work at all.
yes, give badger a try....I used it the other day....but got sun burned still because i did not reapply it after 20 min after I was in the water...so make sure you reapply it every 20 min especailly if you go in the water...
good to hear you are not using burts bees anymore, a lot of the stuff in their is not really natural or organic....
