In December I had a very strong pneumonia on my right lung. It took 6 days to diagnose and by then the stabbing pain had already started. I took 10 days of antibiotics and had to rest over 20 days in bed. Now I am feeling better but still have some pain which seemed to have disappeared 2 weeks ago but I noticed just a day ago that I felt the pain (not strong) occasionally. I am normally a very fit person, do sport and eat healthily. Has anybody any idea how I can help the healing process? I eat plenty of fruit and vegetable, do not smoke. What are the things to avoid and what is helpful in the recovery?
I am not real sure about what to do about this problem but I had pneaummonia in both of my lungs in December. I thought I was starting to heal and it seems like the darn stuff keeps coming back. I have not gotten strong enough to exercise yet and being out in the cold air really bothers my lungs.
I have been taking vitamin c, echinacea, and garlic three times a day. I have also been eating lots of fruits and veggies and in some ways I am doing better.
I have also started using Acia juice. A girlfriend recommended it for me and gave me two bottles. Acia is supposed to be good for lots of health problems like, cancer, arthritis and high chloesterol. I have a hard time with the taste but mixing it with water seems to help. I am still looking at other things that might help. Nobody understands the pain associated with pneaummonia like another person who has been through it.
Please let me know how you are doing.
Hi,
great to hear from you.It helps to speak to people who have /had similar problems. Sorry to hear about your pneumonia. It is very painful and I think if I had been diagnosed quicker I could have prevented a lot. I also read about echinacea but also elderberry tincture, manuka honey, lung tea, tulsi tea, ginseng is supposed to be good. Somebody recommended aloe vera. I also eat lots of fruit and veggies and cut out alcohol and coffee, have herbal tea instead. Fresh air whenever you can but not if it hurts but I was told fresh air is the key to get the stuff out of your lungs.
Hope all the best for you
Viola
There is something I read on the natural health news letter--It is called Viral Defense and you can read about it on plantcures.com ---it is not for long term use. A long time ago I had a bout with ??? could have been pneumonia--I don't remember. All know is that I coughed so hard and hurt so bad that I had to wrap a towel around my ribs really tight. Nothing the doctors gave me helped and then I read or heard something about Aloe Vera. I got me some and started taking it as it directed and within the month the cough and that pain was gone. I like the Lily of the desert brand--they have different kinds for different things and they all seem to work really well and are not expensive at all. You can get that at vitacost.com-----ya know--not sure if am allowed to put this on here--hope I don't get into trouble !! Since it has been a while since you posted this---I sure hope you are better now but thought I would tell you about this anyway. If you get the stuff to have on hand you might not get so sick the next time.

If it was me, I would try apple cider vinegar. There is an apple cider vinegar group here. The Bragg brand is the one you want to get. The website is bragg.com It's available at most health food stores, some grocery stores, and online. There is a book that they published about it also. I take a tsp. or more diluted in water everyday or when I need it. Apple cider vinegar is a natural antibiotic. It gets rid of germs, viruses and bacteria in the body. I told my sister about it and the cough she had for over 3 years went away in about a week after using the apple cider vinegar in water. She puts it in juice too but I think water is better. I would use distilled water. Make sure to brush your teeth afterward. I agree with getting out in fresh air also. I hope you feel better soon. Nyota1
Best thing for pneumonia or any lung problem:
Black coffee, no milk no sugar
Oregano oil capsules (3 x 3 a day)
Olive leaf capsules (3 x 3 a day)
Collodial silver. (I would take 1 tablespoons 3 times a day when really bad, but 1 tsp x 3 a day should also work - for 4 to 6 days, then drop down the dosage)
Take clear lung capsules (chinese herbal remedy)
