I'm an asthmatic and after reading "the yeast connection" I've realized that the mold in sheets, covers, and towels triggers my asthma attacks. Please suggest anything that you know of that will efficiently eliminate mold without adding hazardous chemicals into my home.

Other than washing your sheets, covers and towels? Nada.
But I will say that clearing the mold that's already existing in your blood is just as important, if not more so. Mold problems seem to be more predominant in fall, as the leaves fall and rot, or the unused central heater finally kicks back to life, releasing tons of these little moldy particles in the air, all ready to be inhaled.
You can see a holistic doctor about mold, and he/she can give you homeopathics that will clear out the existing mold in your body. Off the top of my head, I can't remember what the ingredients are, but I do remember that it worked in very short order!
My fear is that there are traces of mold all over my matteress. Replacing it isn't an option for me. The second I walk into my house, I feel different.
In response to mold being seasonal: I think that the "flu" is really the onset of mold as it breaks down weak immune systems that now lack vitamin D from because of reduced exposure to sun light.

Read what I said again, Vaughn. No one's talking about replacing mattresses or anything, I'm talking about obtaining homeopathics to remove what's already in your body.
I had a similar experience with mold (under the microscope, it looks like black particles that were flooding my blood... kinda like a reverse "showy village" that you shake) and within two weeks of homeopathics, my blood was cleared of mold. I highly recommend that you look into it.
But I have to agree with your comments that your home sounds "sick." You may want to look at your household filteration system and perhaps even get a dehumidifier for your home. Mold LOVES humidity!
Hey, you wanna talk about mold? I live in Florida, buddy!
got ya, I guess i was just trying to say that I feel like in the winter time there is an endless supply of mold that seems to follow me around.
the use of sea salt and water has helped. Over the last few days I consume it before I sleep and I walk up in the morning (rather than in the middle of the night) with a lot less inflammation. I ordered about 10 books at once from amazon and some how the book mentioned below " the abc's ..." is one that had useful information for me but yet I didn't read it first.
I'm more than happy to take your advice. I'm fortunate enough to live close to a store run by extremist (don't mean that in a bad way) that cultivate their own foods and are load with true natural remedies. What would you recommend as far as a homeopathic.
I actually bought the book one month ago!!! it's one of 5 other books that are waiting to be read. I know the basics of the book.
I take coconut oil, applecider-vinegar, cod liver oil and sea salt with water everyday. Furthermore, I recently started to incorporate a vegetable smoothie for breakfast every morning. I don't eat junk food at all.
Yesterday I realized that if i consume sea salt and water while I'm having breathing problems, the symptoms like tightness in my chest and lack of oxygen flow subsides.
My fear is that in spite of all the measures i take to strengthen my immune system that I will always be susceptible to mold... thoughts???

You might me allergic to yeast. From my experience food allegies can trigger symstoms that are very similair to asthma. I was misdaignosed when i was a youngster. Sometimes i would eat and then have a really hard time breathing. I also had problems with mold in my building. You should talk to an NAET practitioner.
i have to agree with this post... my son, after consuming just one too many pieces of pizza, woke up in the middle of the night with a red, swollen face, and unable to breath. fortunately, i knew what had to be done... so i gave him some distilled water with the juice of one lemon in it, took him outside for about twenty minutes, and then made him a freshly squeezed vegetable juice. within a half an hour, he was back to normal again. (he has a candida overgrowth)
i agree completely. but, we also know for a fact that candida has played a part in this, as i also came down with it, and that's how i was able to find out what happened to my son. all the docs said it was autism; but, after several years of searching, then getting sick, myself...by a complete fluke i found the cause.
people with systemic candida are especially sensitive to MSG, and it brings on all of the symptoms that we have been told are autistic people's way of "stimming"... also, i had a fungal form of meningitis when i was a child, which i believe wasn't completely remedied, and carried over to my son.
don't worry, i've been aware of the associations between symptoms and MSG, yeast, complex carbs, sugar, etc... for a while... just, (with me and my son, anyway), it happens to be a condition that runs much deeper than food sensitivities.
PS: we rarely eat them too... and, understandably so!!!!
with regards to your mattress, have you ever considered vaccuming it?
or, there may be a homeopathic substance that you could lightly scrub it with... a type of antifungal (as i'm sure you wouldn't want to wash it down with apple cider vinegar)... but, if you ask around, you may be able to find something environmentally safe to apply to it?
i'm not sure of any cleaning products so I'll have to keep my ears open.
In the last few days I've learned a lot about my body. I think that adding sea salt and water as I feel tightness in my lungs will help. I'll continue to watch what i eat and educate myself as much as possible.
from what i've learned, raw veggies and fruits go a long way toward reducing the inflammation that goes with asthma and bronchitis; and, since it is difficult to eat anything when one is having difficulty breathing... making a fruit or veggie juice may be the better way to digest faster and get the food working on the inflammation.
also, i've gotten my son to suck on the juice of a lemon ( with much difficulty!!); but, the alkalinity that the lemon juice provides his system also goes a long way toward retuning his breathing to normal, quickly.
if you can't stand the sour taste full strength, you may also want to consider simply squeezing the lemon juice into a glass of water, to make it more tolerable.
best of luck to you, and hope some of these suggestions help.
