This may be useful to know when grocery shopping, if it's a concern to you.

Can you differentiate which one is made in Taiwan or China ?
If the first 3 digits of the barcode are 690, 691 or 692, the product is MADE IN CHINA.
471 is Made in Taiwan ..
This is our right to know, but the government and related departments never educate the public, therefore we have to RESCUE ourselves.
Nowadays, Chinese businessmen know that consumers do not prefer products "MADE IN CHINA ", so they don't show from which country it is made.
However, you may now refer to the barcode, remember if the first 3 digits are:
690-692 … then it is MADE IN CHINA .
00 - 09 … USA & CANADA
30 - 37 … FRANCE
40 - 44 … GERMANY
47 ... Taiwan
49 … JAPAN
50 … UK

Now this wouldn't be on the bar code, but on labels for food, i've heard, that there are certain little numbers you can see that are actually a code, and it could tell you whether or not food is genetically modified or not. it was from some guy on these forums, and i think it was actually over 2 years ago.

I'll keep that in mind the next time I get some Spaghetti-Os. (Ok, that was sarcasm)
Point being is that there are some things I'd rather NOT purchase American because the quality is so poor.
Hmm... I wonder what Japanese Spaghetti-Os taste like?

If you go under forum and type in 'organic food labeling" and search the first one to pop up will be an article from Plzchuckle and it tells all about the labels on food/ produce
