I just found out that a lady friend of mind (age 79) was diagnosed with stomach cancer about 2 months ago. After giving her a "lecture" on eating healthy and all, she told me that she can't eat raw veggies because she has severe stomach issues (mainly diverticulitis) ..... that she has been hospitalized many times before for. How does one eat raw if their digestive system can't handle it? Let me know if anyone has any ideas on this, please!

I believe you Sandy, but I ran into the same thing as Wendi. My niece was told NOT to eat any veggies when she was sick. Crazy, huh?
Yep
Charles, what can you tell me about Chrons disease and what can be done about it. A family member of mine is GRAVELY ill with it and has been in the hospital for 2 weeks.
Thanks Jason. That will happen as soon as y'all send the money to do this. I accept cash only. Want my mailing address??

In the meantime, we need help today with what we can do TODAY.
Charles:

Yes, simple is good. I just talked to her and she is out of the hospital and feeling better - for now. What would you recommend to start? Is there a website you recommend? I've been a bit overwhelmed with tons and tons of "data" and you seem to have helped people on this website - plus you are funny!
Thanks Charles, I know what you mean. And yes, I am very familiar with people unable to follow simple directions. LOL I will be seeing her at Thanksgiving and I'll see where it goes. I appreciate to response.
Dawn, why do I believe you? LOL
Ok, Marilyn, that's what I was thinking about the partially-digested greens in smoothies. I was thinking of making her a smoothie to try! I definitely have to hook her up with some LBB!
Thanx, everyone .... when I mentioned to her the raw veggies and apricot seeds (for the cancer), she went into panic remembering the sheer pain she had all the times she had her flare ups with diverticulitis.

I am wondering ...... if blending smoothies would help her get her needed intake of veggies (in the form of greens) without the worry? Also, would colonic irrigation (and/or colon cleanses) be good for one who suffers with diverticulitis?

She IS thinking about the Ambrotose for the 10 day stretch! It's expensive but if they give their 6-month guarantee for that, what does she have to lose!!
I believe (only my observation) that her stomach just has to get used to raw veggies. It might ail for awhile but will get better. I have noticed in life that whatever ails you, you need to do it MORE and not less.

Example:
When you first begin to exercise, your muscles start to ache. That is when you need to do it MORE not less. Eventually, your muscles will NOT ache anymore.

Dawn, That is a great site, thank you! You are always so good at investigating on the net!! LOL! So what can you find out about stomach cancer ( ....hint hint!) ? :~)

It's just another sad case where this elderly woman accepts the words of her doctors like she was reading out of the Bible ..... without question! I am going to speak to her about seeing the Naturopath/Herbalist in our area who has success with cancer patients. I'm hoping she will consider --- keep your fingers crossed!
What about a series of colonics? --- What do you all think?
