Eating meat and fish is the best way to eat and control weight be healthy and help our planet.

Having meat and fish is the best way to eat and keeps one healthy. This shows great respect for nature and our fellow beings when we cut, bleed and eat their flesh. In fact it is so healthy that we would die if we would stop eating them for even a single day.

Dear Karen,
That link you sent me made sense to the mind. There was a lot of understanding here from the authors point of view. But he has no experience of the divine.
One has to remember that one becomes what one eats. The grains or the fruits or the meat one ate a few hours ago becomes a part of our body. Thus food containing vile and painful memories can never make one joyous or happy. When one consumes an animal or bird which has experienced horrible trauma before dying or being killed has very low vibration which is recorded in every cell within the animals body and will undoubtedly transmit the same lowered vibration to the consumer. Thus making the one who consumes this kind of a treat susceptible to all kinds of misery and disease.
If you have ever slaughtered an animal you will observe the way it struggles and tries to escape. However, a fruit bearing tree will be so inviting and loving as to drop some fruits- apples, or a pear or... just for us. Take eat and be happy.
Did you know that most of us, we eat unconciously? We eat with respect to time (which does not really exist) without thinking whether we are hungry, is it not?

Two cannibals were eating a clown. One said to the other:"Does this taste funny to you?"

Hi Roy,
I have heard those arguments before and it made me think quite deeply about it.
I've also seen the long term effects of a near vegan and low fat vegetarian diets where I am now living, and as a woman, it is not one I wish to replicate. I see men coping a lot better with this kind of diet, but then they don't bleed once a month or bear children either.

The 'Anastasia' books advocate a vegetarian (if microbes and friendly bacteria don't count as animal foods) diet, and I would love to be able to follow that. However our current lifestyle does not support an environment with 'live air' and 'live water', and being able to eat fruits and veg immediately it is picked. Until that happens, (and believe me I am currently manifesting my own piece of land and paradise) I will eat the flesh and fat of humanly killed free ranging, grass fed animals, as well as drink and eat their life giving milk, eggs and honey. Bless them and give gratitude each time. I am not unaware of the sacrifice, and I too, have my own vibration and love I can impart into what it is I'm cooking and eating.

Nature is a wild feminine thing, with a life/death/life cycle many don't want to think about too much or understand. Its not a mind thing for me at all, it is something I have come to understand with my whole being, nasty bits and all.

23 months hey? Congratulations! And you still have your sense of humour! Well done.

Love,
Karen.

PS What a cheesy joke, made me laugh! Gotta think of a vego one in return....

Dear Karen, A valid and logical response.
Experiencing something first hand should be our goal. We have been so conditioned as to believe what we read or see or hear to be true. Can we experience love by reading books or watching tv shows or documentaries on it?
It is not about the animal being killed that worries because eventually it would die. The being within that animal would survive anyway. But there are so many beautiful fruits and vegetables available, so many vegetarian meals available, and can be prepared in a jiffy. So then just to satisfy our hunger, we should kill our fellow being? This does not feel right or does it?
Karen, we are all blessed with free will and a conditioned mind at the same time. Therefore we may choose unwittingly in most cases. But eventually our choice is what matters.
Karen, hope you enjoy this one -
Two missionaries in Africa were apprehended by a tribe of very hostile cannibals who put them in a large pot of water, build a huge fire under it, and left them there. A few minutes later, one of the missionaries started to laugh uncontrollably.
The other missionary was incredulous, and said, "What's wrong with you? We're being boiled alive! They're going to eat us! What could possibly be funny at a time like this?"
The laughing missionary said, "I just peed in their soup!"

Both of you bring up great points and arguments. Roy. I love that joke about the clowns. I'm going to use it. I was watching john stossel on youtube. It was about ortherexia. A negetive term used to describe people who are obsessed with health food. They focused mainly on raw vegans. Of course when they found one to talk too they had to pick the sorriest most pathetic person to talk to. I could tell right away the show was meant to steer people away from eating healthy. I used to like john stossel but not anymore since i realized that he's just a propaganda machine. Anyways they featured some raw gura guy talking. They were in a church. It looked like they kinda made being raw a religion. What he said was similair to what roy posted. When you eat the animal your also eating the animals fear. I think thats possible. But. What if the animals are free range? I can't imagine free range animals being that scared. Unfortunatly won't don't live in an environment that permits us being able to eat fresh picked raw food on a daily bases. I have farmers market a block from my house but i can't always make it because my work schedule. I think that in order for raw to work the produce has to be less than 36 hours old. I've gotten great results be eating fresh food. You guys should check this out. ://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-RinnfW52c&feature=relatedduce

Yes, good points from everyone. As a woman, I agree w/Karen about needing more protein. I tried vegan- didn't work for me. I suppose this is strictly a personal choice but I believe as good stewards of the earth, if we choose to eat meat we have a responsibility to make sure the animals are treated humanely and respect the fact we have taken life in order to sustain our own.The cycle of life unfortunately includes death. Something must die in order for something else to live.

Nice Che!
The more I think about it, the more I believe the 'death' experience is a minute part of the karma or vibration of the animals cells. I think a lifetime of being sick, miserable and enslaved would cause far more damage on a vibrational level than merely a traumatic death. An animal which has been healthy, happy, and given plenty of space to roam and interact with others would pass on health giving vibrations. Especially if the death was quick and humanely done. A lifetime of contentment and a millisecond of fear, does not pass on negative energy in my opinion. Everyone dies, your death experience does not 100% determine your karma or vibration levels. It is a part of life on this physical planet. What you do with your life and how it is lived is far more important.

Funny thing about the title of this topic. Even thought roy is saying the oppisite of what he's thinking. High protien diets do make you lose weight. Remember the no carb fad. Eating nothing but meat will cause you to lose weight. Not saying its healthy but it works temporarily.

if you eat nothing but lean meat, you'll starve to death. Lots of political prisoners killed off this way.
