my ear has been hurting off and on but only slightly. however, this morning i woke up at 5 am in excruciating pain. the whole side of my face hurts and i have a headache and i'm stuffed up and just miserable... i've put ACV in it and been eating hot chicken broth with cayenne pepper and raw garlic, drinking orange juice and chamomile tea. the pain's subsided a little but it's still pretty bad. what can i do?

oh my friend Christa, i know how painful that is.........:( sounds like your doing good things for it...........if you can? try to go to the chiropractor...you'll be amazed how that will help............alot of times when your unaligned( spelling)? it causes liquid buildup and major ear infection..............
and if you have GSE? try 1-3 drops with 1oz. of vegetable glycerin or alcohol. apply 1-2 drops of mixture in affected ear , as often as needed.................never use full strength .......................................
or maybe peroxide a few drops in ear and let it bubble then let it drain...............................
also here's some home remedies....http://www.ehow.com/how_4707009_treat-earaches-natural-home-remedie... i see your already trying the vinegar.....................i hope this helps some................goodluck!

Have you ever heard Ear waxing? ( no fun intended)

Ear candling, also called ear coning or thermal-auricular therapy, is an alternative medicine practice that helps to improve general health and well-being by lighting one end of a hollow candle and placing the other end in the ear canal. Remember that ear, nose, and throat are all connected. It will clean your ears, removes wax and infections. Clears out your allergies. You can find those candles at your local natural store or "whole foods" might have it. I do not recommend you do it on your own. You should be assisted by someone. Check out the video of "How to" and let me know how it goes. have it done twice of month.... just to make sure that everything is clean. Below are the "instructions of procedure" and video about it. Let me know if you tried and if it work.

Thanks

Kahloguy

Procedure

One end of a cylinder or cone of waxed cloth is lit, and the other placed into the subject's ear. Usually the subject is lying on one side with the treated ear uppermost and the candle vertical, and can be stuck through a paper plate or aluminum pie tin to protect against any hot wax or ash falling down the side. However, some have the subject sit up, keep the candle nearly horizontal, and watch for dripping wax. Some candles have an internal filter to catch debris. The flame is cut back occasionally with scissors and extinguished between two and four inches from the subject. Its proponents claim that the flame creates negative pressure, drawing wax and debris out of the ear canal, which appears as a dark residue.

An ear candling session can last from 15 minutes to 45 minutes, during which time a series of 1 or 2 ear candles may be burned for each ear.

Here is a videos about it on link below.

My 18 year old had a bad one not too long ago and the Hyland's earache drops really soothed it.

Put hydrogen peroxide in your ear. Taking colloidal silver would also be very effective.
