Great post Robyn ,are we not to question things ,GIN told me things are being kept from us, the new world order, if all I get from my souce for alternative cures is one side and people can't question that, i'm confused.
this site has post from members with links to all kinds of stuff for sale or treatments i can't just take there word for it when its my body.

That guy was baned his last post I saw he was saying he lost a child to cancer and when he saw something he found to be wrong he had to speak up.
he was a med student so thats not a good think to admit here, but Tim you just called him names,,, a psycotic and said his posts were psycotic rantings, insulting a member is allowed in the rules? lol kidding.. someone that is that far in school i would not think is a stupid person and who better to get a point of view on but someone thats interested in alternative cures while being filled with stuff from the people were here to get away from.......he gave me some things to ponder,,everything here can't be 100 % I want the other side of the coin to debate with.

I'm here mostly for GIN but when I see censorship i get worried because if I can't see posts of people who might of used a product or tried a alternative mix of herbs i need to be able to know when thinks go wrong or a expensive device that does not work.

It takes 2 people and threats were made by the guy that did not get baned, both should have been banned for being involved but not for having different points of view. The first amendment you said does not matter i found the part i was looking for on the first page,,a community exposing and sharing new information,.
Well thats what i wanted to add to this discussion and my brother in is fighting for the first amendment i don't want to ask what is thought of the war.

same here matt. lol They had the GIN community section up when the website was opened up for login on July 1st. Not sure why they took it down.

I never read any of William's posts, but I totally understand what Robyn is trying to say and express. Everyone has the right to an opinion. To promote free speech, and then ban a person who disagrees with you is completely dodgy.

However on a personal level, I'm not that upset William got booted off for expressing medical mainstream opinions. We are flooded with what the doctors and scientists tell us every day. This website among others is a nice way to discover alternates, and talk to people about health without having all the politically correct dogma once more thrust in your face. I didn't join this site to hear or learn from mainstream medicine.

But ultimately, I agree with Robyn. He shouldn't have been given the boot for those reasons. I have free will and choice in who I listen or respond to. We are all adults here.

Here's a simple way to put it. You shouldn't be doing things online that you wouldn't do in real life. Dissing KT and Natural Cures is one thing but then want to go and insult people. If this had happended in real life i would have bitch slapped him (When a man slaps another man really hard with an open hand). I'm pretty sure i'm not the only one. What he did was totally stupid. If i were an admistrator i would do the same thing on a regular basis. If i created a social networking site on Ning (Like its not hard to do) and somebody was saying mean things about kt and insulting people for no reason. Bam. Gone. Thats it. If this were survivor we would have voted him off the island. He didn't have one helpfull piece of info. None. Which is the real reason we come here. So we can find other people who are also into natural cures and exchange information. Its pretty easy to insult people online. But when you meet people in real life its alot different. Most people who work in the medical proffession are small and weak and have gaint heads. And wear glasses. Yes we have so called free speech but we also have the right to not have to assocaite with jackasses. What kind of Medical or wanna be Medical Doctor would go to a natural cures site? Really?

Has anyone used the site called ,I might not have it right...way back,,,go back ,, or something along that line.
you can look up web sites that have gone for whatever reason.
I had it book marked and had looked up sites that were taken down, i lost the link.
If I had it I could look up the posts that are being talked about.
Since banks is gone my score on this topic is Che calling banks a jackass a few times,,bitch slapping him ,,idiot are used and paints a picture of a very uneducated person..
If hes still in school ,we can't call that stupid, I don't agree with you Che that the people in the Medical profession are small and weak and have giant heads and wear glasses... I wear glasses so you must hate me also,,and my oldest sister is in the medical profession as a practicing nurse so you hate her? my other sister is a Mid-Wife she is getting the respect from the medical community she deserves now after years of service to mothers and after care to families. They both must be jackasses and idiots for working with the white coat big head glasses wearing idiots.
As far as I'm thinking someone that can be a nurse takes medical training to help people... sometimes they don't get the thanks they deserve. anyone that can do that job is a saint to be so caring . there in the medical field so they must be really jackasses and idiots ;the gum under the other peoples shoes.
Your doing very well at the insulting business if you ask me,,I can't wait to see those other posts if I can find them

Hey Robyn, I think u should be careful here....As far as i can tell, Tim was giving his opinion but is not the one who "Banned" Mr. Banks.....Tim was speaking from his perspective because he moderates for "Natural Health Yahoo Groups" not this Community Cures site, which once again takes us back into assuming why Mr. Banks was banned......and not knowing the exact truth.....

but i agree, we shouldn't assume that these forces or groups have our best interest at heart....but maybe we shouldn't assume that they do not either......lets just take it for what it is....and not over-react.....if we see a trend in this situation, then that will tell us all we need to know....but in the meantime....enjoy and continue to practice debating and free speech here....do so without fear and let that be the answer for now....

Careful is not in my vocab. when it comes to hypocrisy! I'm not into kissin ass.

What really bothers me about this is:

from what Tim said,(you have to ask him personally if he's a moderator for this site, I know he has stated he is friends with a/the moderator) the fact remains William was banned from this site for disagreeing with Gene.( I have contact w/William personally: no we are not friends)They were both rude to each other, but that wouldn't be the first of that on this site or any other social network. And "who" determines what rude is?

It is apparent that being banned from this site has nothing to do with violating the Terms of Service agreement, something we all agreed to when we joined this site. Regardless of whether or not you like the terms we still agreed period, so in that regard if you violate them then you are subject to dismissal from the site. OK got it.....

but that is obviously not being enforced, not that I think it should be, some of the "rules" are silly and subject to "interpretation" The issue here is people are being banned arbitrarily based on a moderators/administrators whim or personal opinion. Like Tim suggested.


This means there are absolutely no guidelines as to behavioral conduct, it just means you have offended a particular person, who complains about you to on a particular day, who happens to bend the ear of a particular moderator who happens to be of the same opinion.
No one has the right at any point in life to be "un-offended"


The members of this site do however have the right to hear both sides of an argument in order to decide the best course of action in determining the validity of a particular issue.
WHY? .......because Kevin Trudeau himself preaches this religiously. If he were to run for public office, this would have to be his platform.

On a much more personal note:
I think if you read Williams posts carefully, you will find a father who has lost a child to a horrendous disease that has become an epidemic in rivalry of a plague. He has dedicated himself to becoming a doctor in order to try to combat this, and help bring some sort of sanity and reason back to his life. He came here looking for answers, and legitimate natural cures. I am appalled that all most of you saw was the md after his name and immediately went on the attack. Here was a perfect opportunity to begin to merge conventional medicine with natural healing. A future doctor looking for alternative answers. Was he a little "brisk" sometimes, yep, because he knows and so should all of you there are as many hoax's, scams and downright lies in the the "natural cures field" as in the pharmaceutical run conventional heath field, all in order to turn a buck, regardless of the human suffering it causes.
Wake up...you're only cutting your own throats by not realizing there are aspects of both we must adopt in order to be healthy and well.
MD does not = evil.

For anyone following this forum, who cares.

William was contacted by the administrator of Natural Cures today. His comments were reviewed and nothing was found to be offensive. The ban on his account was lifted. I don't know if he will come back, but I learned something today:

I started out defending a principle and ended up defending a friend.

I had no particular interest in William personally, his comments were just "out of the ordinary," for around here and he had some good points. Just a grey cyber profile face from Canada. When he was banned, I realized it could be anyone, me, you, whoever.

This is just a Internet community, none of know each other in "real life" but somehow I notice what goes on here mimics real life. What happened to William was just wrong, for no other reason did I post.

Some interesting comments from all of you, no real surprises. Funny how things like this bring out a persons true character.The ones I thought would defend William did, mostly. The ones who don't give a shit, did their thing too. You know who you are. Be happy in your little self centered worlds. But, such is life, I would have defended you too had the same thing happened. Later gators.....
