So I had been getting dizzy every day for a few weeks (after eating tofu scramble w/ nut. yeast for breakfast everyday) and then I stopped eating it and I stopped getting dizzy. To be sure, I had it yesterday and I got dizzy again! About 3 hours after I eat it. Has this happened to anyone else? Do I have bad yeast or is it old?
Clearly, the soy is not good for you! (in fact, soy is not good for anybody). The only way soy can be 'handled' by the body is in a 'fermented' form, such as soy sauce, tempeh-) Most soy beans in the US are Genetically modified. Start doing some research, you will find that you may wish to replace your soy products. Here is a good video for you. http://www.mercola.com/article/soy/index.htm
I've taken soy almost completely(-I do use Bragg's liquid aminos-fermented ocassionally). out of my diet. Read labels, you will find it pretty amazing just how much soy is in almost everything you eat!
Hope this helps..
Soy really is bad for you. The thyroid suffers. Try drinking almond milk or some other type of nut milk. I saw a milk made out of cantelopes -- youtube video.
Soy has way too much estrogen in it and was grown for animals not humans. Only fermented soy products should be taken.
Tufu dulls the brain and causes a host of other problems.
Brewers yeast might work better for you. Why do you feel the need to eat yeast?
Oh, no, I do not believe everything I read on the internet. There are many sources Jessica--Many.I don't however believe the food corporations or the people who stand to 'gain' from my 'loss'. People in this community are here for a basic reason and that is to learn and to help (teach). If one is not willing to learn, that's o.k too. I believe we are all passing along things that we have heard/read/experienced in hope that it can help someone else. Let's 'assume'' soy IS good for you? Eating 'genetically modified foods are indeed, detrimental to your health. No one wants to tell one what to do, simply to 'enlighten' the ones who want to be 'enlightened'.
You asked for help, and you got 2 replies (both saying the same thing)..
You don't need anybody's help, you answered your own question when you asked it. If something you are eating is making you "feel" sick, then STOP eating it! (By the way, by the time you are 'feeling' ill, you 'are' already 'ill'. The symptom is your body's indicator that there IS a problem)
Thanks a lot, I know this as I am being treated for lyme disease. thanks a lot for your help, it was so helpful. There are also many counter websites to soy being good for you. you can believe what you want to, but there are many anti-veg sites that are targeting soy. Sick.
When I do my research, I search many sources, as there are pro and cons to everything.(And, EVERYbody has an ' opinion')
I then ask myself, 'WHO STANDS TO BENEFIT BY THIS ?
It's difficult at times for some to believe that our government would 'allow' (such as GMO foods, or "mandatory vaccinations" )or would 'do such a thing', but, sometimes we simply MUST face reality(Well most of us). The internet is a fabulous source of information. Now, we can NO longer be controlled by watching tv, reading the 'news' or listening to the radio. Currently there is no control of the information out on the internet (but that is changing too), which means, YOU and I, can get out there, and speak about something we know is wrong (or right). I don't advocate that you believe everything you hear/read, but I DO advocate, that if you hear something more than 3 times, especially by 3 different sources, it might be time to 'listen-up' and further your research to 'get to the bottom' and come to your own 'truths'/conclusions". Personally, I go with my 'gut' feeling. If it doesn't feel good/right, I question it, and search out the answers.
The ONE thing NO one can force us to do, is change our beliefs! That's what makes us 'unique' as individuals. And we all know what a belief is:
It can be a thought that you keep thinking over and over( and over). Beilef: Acceptance of truth or actuality of anything without certain proof;mental conviction--That which is believed;something held to be true or valid. Belief denotes acceptance with or withOUT proof or strong emotional feelings.
By the way, there was a movie out, in the 70's I believe (maybe late 60's) called 'Soilent Green" (not sure of the spelling), Have you ever seen that? It's a real 'eye-opener'. I think I'll go rent that again!
Have a great day Jessica, hope you get to the bottom of this issue.
Hi Jessica, you asked for people's opinions. People then gave you their opinion, and then you argue with them about it. SOY is NOT good for you. Period. READ Dr. Mercola's information. He is an EXPERT in soy. He has studied it for years, and he is one of the nation's leading NATURAL HEALTH EXPERTS. The people who say soy is ok, are the ones who want to sell it. Period.
I told you on a previous thread that I didn't like the nutritional yeast you were taking, and some of your problems were coming from something you were eating, and you argued with me about that also. Please try to respect people's opinions!!! We are trying to help you! I spent a lot of time in addition to replying to your posts.
No one knows everything. We are all learning and sharing information. That is the purpose of this site. I am not trying to nag on you, but there comes a time when you have to listen to people. Please read Dr. Mercola's site and listen to his videos about soy. That is the correct information about soy. Nyota1
Nicely put Nyota!
I agree. We are all learning and sharing. That is the beauty of this great community. You can take what works for you.
One should always listen to their bodies. If you are eating something, and clearly having some sort of 'reaction' to it, your body is telling you something. Again, if several people are telling you the same thing, it may be time to listen up, learn(do your own due diligence--, and that means, learn all you can about each side of the forum) and then, form your opinion. Check the sources of your information, and ask the questions I stated above. I think you will find them most helpful! Remember, we are all in this together!
Best,
Deni
I've also heard Soy is bad for you and when I relayed that information to my mom she asked me: "Do you believe EVERYTHING you hear?"
Anyway, I've stopped drinking the milk. Is Almond milk or Rice milk better? Anyone?
And Jessica, I hope all is well with you by now :-)
