When I got pregnant, I weighed about 136, 137 pounds. Too much, yes. But I'm at 148 now, and ten weeks pregnant. I can't help but think I'm gaining weight too fast. I don't eat a lot of carbs, however. I'm having a hard time eating fresh veggies though, they make me nauseated. My mom said she did the same thing and just didn't gain a lot of weight towards the end of her pregnancy. Any advice?

Christa:

Absolutely keep up with your veggies (and maybe this'll sound a little old wives tale, but maybe some crackers to help with the nausea). I might also suggest more water and taking lengthy walks... while you can.

If you are going to take in more water, don't sneeze. Especially during the walks. (hehe)

I gained most of my weight at the beginning, to the point that my Dr. was a little concerned and told me to watch it. But by the time I went to have my kids, (who were 2 wks late) at first glance the hospital staff thought I was preterm. I think everyone's body is different and as long as you are eating healthy don't deprive yourself. Oh, and take it easy on the salt if you aren't already.

I read a book "Rejuvenation Mehods from the Ancient Mariner" by Sam Biser. It said that sea salt help get up to seven times the nutrition out of vegetables. Salt is needed to help create hydrocloric acid which help digest vegetable. The book promote the Celtic sea salt as the best type of sea salt.
