I'm a little bit freaked out right now about what happened to me this morning. I was sitting on the toilet doing my thing when all of a sudden i had some kind of a fainting episode. What I vaguely remember is getting this tingling sensation throughout my body, feeling my body clench up while losing control of all my muscles, slowly losing my vision and consciousness, and sliding off the side of the toilet toward the floor and banging my head on the wall. I then gained full consciousness and control of my body and realized that I was lying on the floor next to the toilet in the fetal position. Everything was fine after that, but I was completely confuzed about what had happened. I don't think I completely blacked out during this experience, but the whole thing is pretty hazy in my memory, in bits and pieces. I just remember it being something that I slowly faded into, and then slowly faded out of.
I do have a history of panic attacks over the past few years, which usually involved tingling sensations, loss of phyical and emotional control, heart palpitations, difficulty breathing, etc. but never experienced a loss of consciousness like this before. The strange thing is that I was breathing normally and my heart was beating normally afterward, which is completely the opposite of any panic attack i've experienced.
Has anyone experienced anything like this before, or have any idea what happened to me and why?
