I currently am having a fever of 99.3-100.6 temperature. This all started yesterday with developing a fever, coughing, runny nose, and feeling in my throat as it it's going to hurt when sallowing spit.Should I just leave it this way not take Tylenol, or take one when it's above 100F or 101F body temperature?I wonder how long would it take for this fever to go away.I have already taken Tylenol this morning in order to go this class and take this test.I have tried alternative ways to boost my immune system taking Vitamin D, gargling and taking Colliadol Silver, spraying Ionic Silver Hydrosol to my throat.I have heard and read somewhere when a person takes any medicine to make the fever go away there suppressing the body;s natural defense immune system.

This is one of the reasons why I have to see a licensed healthcare practitionor and a naturpathic allergy dr. to do a colon, candida, liver/gall bladder, parasite etc cleanse and colonics .

Well I eat foods that are not necessarily organic. With the exception when each time I would drink a cup of coffee, and tea I would add Stevia sugar.I eat processed, and homogenized foods.

some people use honey for cough. Honey help to sooth the throat. Plus I read somewhere that honey also has antibiotic substance.

I agree, honey is one of the best options. Don't be frugal with it either. A couple of teaspoons every other hour or so. You could also go the honegar. Its equal parts apple cider vinegar and honey. This way you're getting double dosages of potassium. Potassium attack virus's by sucking out the moisture from the cell, leaving them dehydrated and therefore dead. It will help by drying out the runny nose and ease the coughing. In this way your immune system is given a 'leg up' without it being suppressed. Its excellent mixed with hot water and sipped. Very comforting. Honegar is taken diluted with water. Go as strong as you can handle it, and drink a lot is my advice. Good luck!

I'm thinking if it's like this since I have been taking Lypo-Spheric Vitamin C, Lypo-Spheric GSH, drinking Zamu Juice, The New Silver Solution, & spraying Ionic Silver Hydrosol for my throat, and taking Tylenol since I had to attend classes today so in order I could at least function.

I still keep having fever at times, ever since on Weds morning. Is it because since I'm taking Lypo-Spheric Vitamin C, Lypo-Spheric GSH, drinking Zamu Juice, The New Silver Solution, & spraying Ionic Silver Hydrosol for my throat, they tend to boost my immune system so therefore as a natural defense my body rasies it's temperature, therefore ending up with a fever again. Is this right ?Were since I have heard that fever is a natural defense towards a disease only to a cerain point no more than 102 or 103F, to fight off bacteria, viruses.

Also my back has been hurting at times ever since I have got the fever.

I wouldn't worry about the fever as long as it doesn't get to high. Try the wet sock remedy.

I use this and it really does work wonders.

So how long is a fever supposed to last?I have been having a fever since this past weds for almost 5 days now.During those 5 day period my fever went up to 100.4 or 99.8 go down to 97.4 it has been going up and down.I have stopped taking Tylenol and other OTC drugs and leave it alone and let the body do it's thing since this morning.

A fever is suppose to last (are you ready?)
As long as it needs to to do the job it was designed to do!
(sorry, don't mean to be a smart ass..it's just true)

100.4? That's barely a fever... believe me you'll be okay. Also not trying to sound like a smart ass.. lol

I'm not sure I quite understand the Fever Therapy. It says not to do this therapy if you already have a fever?? Then what am I supposed to do with my kids if they already have fevers and I trying to find way to help them fight the flu? Doctor said my daughter has a viral syndrome. So that was just simple flu. Or do I do cold sock treatment if she already has a fever? I'm confused on two of them. Could anybody help explain better? THanks.

I have no idea what the reference to 'fever therapy' or the wet sock is..however,

I have done a lot of research (which was about 27 years ago) on fevers, so, I can't really quote sources. However,
I simply 'googled' fevers and this is what i got : http://www.drhull.com/EncyMaster/F/fever.html
(there is much more info on the web, that was just the first thing that came up-educate yourself)
Understand, the body is a Miracle and can heal it self If 'WE" don't interfere!..
Understanding the purpose of a fever is key. What is it's purpose? to kill the bacteria (or dis-ease) within the body.
IF you take a medication/ or do anything to 'reduce' the fever, you are interfering with the bodies ability to heal.
If you do not allow the fever to 'run it's course, and kill the bacteria, that bacteria stays within the body and now becomes a 'chronic' condition. FEVERS ARE GOOD! My children had fever's as high as 104. (but only lasted for 2 days) Instead of 'fighting the fever', start boosting the immune system. You have Several options in which to do this..
Back when I was raising my children, the things I used, and worked WELL, were, Simply, 'Calcium Ascorbate' (vitamin c buffered w/calcium so not to cause stomach upset), and Probiotics..lots and lots of both. Today, we have many more options.
Remember, that "probiotics' are the 'friendly' bacteria that live in your intestines. (Your immune system) If you populate yourself with 'good' bacteria, the 'bad' can not survive. If I were in your situation, I'd give your children an abundance of probiotic, as well as vitamin c..(google Nobel Prize winner Lynus Pauling, and read about vitamin C)

Okay I don't want to overdose my kids with these you suggested, how much is too much? Lots of them isn't helping me know how much I can give them?

How did you dress your kids when they have fevers? What blankets they can use? I have put them on tshirt and shorts without socks and light blanket or sheet. They were shivering probably, poor babies! I feel bad for them. Was I doing it wrong?? Now they are starting to cough even though their fevers were down early yesterday.
