Hi..here is a cleanse group going on now. This one does not include herbs but another way to cleanse..just a different perspective.

I have a great update for you today, with some guidelines
for day 2, answers to your questions and even some food
ideas. So let's get started.

Day 2 has started! Have you noticed how the fast really
helped to get the cleanse going?

If you are just joining us for this Cleanse, there's still
time to get benefits as long as you start today!

*Some Guidelines*

I would like to add a few additional guidelines for the
cleanse.

1- Drink 3-4 liters of water per day. It was okay to not
drink water on the first day. But starting today your body
is going to eliminate toxins so you want to make it easy for
you and drink lots of water. Do whatever works for you to
make sure you drink this ammount of water. I personally like
to fill a 4-liter water jug, add some lemon and drink it
throughout the day.

2-Add at least 30 minutes of walking and/or cardio.
Depending on your fitness level, you want to start
progressively improve your fitness throughout this cleanse.
If you're getting started, I suggest walking *as much as
possible*, starting with a morning 30-minute walk. If you
feel you can do it, adding more cardio exercise such as
jogging or biking for at least 30 minutes a day will be even
better. As always, listen to your body and start from where
you are.

I will also recommend other types of exercise this week but
this is a good start.

3- Track Some Metrics. Here's what I recommend. To see the
results from this cleanse, try to track some metrics. If you
can, jump on the scale today. But don't check your weight
every day! Only today and then at the very end of the
cleanse. Because there will many variations and changes in
water in your body during this cleanse, it doesn't make
sense to check the scale every day.

Also if you can, measure your blood pressure and your
resting heart beat. Write it down somewhere. You might see
some interesting changes at the end of this cleanse.

*Sample Menu*

The reason why I didn't send you many recipes (actually
none so far) is because I want you to keep this cleanse very
simple. Remember it's a cleanse! I will introduce some
recipes later this week, but for now I'd like you to focus
on eating mostly mono meals of fruits and greens. Here are
some examples:

- Mono meal of just mangoes
- Bananas blended with romaine lettuce and water
- Diced apples with mashed bananas on top
- Salad of spinach, tomatoes, celery and oranges

Actually the best meals are mono meal. You can have 3-5
meals a day. Follow the guidelines I gave you before.

I will give you some recipes to make it more interesting
later on, but for now focus on very simple stuff.

Q: I was impressed by the sensible advice you gave to all
those who enquired regarding the 'cleanse'- especially your
advice re herbs to 'clean the liver' (!) and to the young
boy on the importance of eating well.

May I ask you a further question re Roisboos tea? It is
claimed that it contains no caffeine. Does that make it
healthy, like green tea?

I had no problem keeping the fast but I did eat a large bowl
of fruit: a small bunch of grapes, 2 bananas, 1 apple And 2
satsumas and felt bloated! Strange.

A: Thanks for your comments! It's possible to feel bloated
when eating many different kinds of fruit at once,
especially if you're not used to eating large quantities of
fruit. To make the transition easier, I suggest eating only
one type of fruit at a time whenever you can and avoiding
combining bananas with acid fruits.

As for Roisboos tea, I don't think it's a "dangerous"
product but I don't attribute it any special quality. A lot
of plants in nature are very rich in nutrients, but that
doesn't mean we should eat all of them. Would you make a
salad out of green tea leaves, or Roisboos tea? Actually you
would probably get very sick if you did.

This week, during the cleanse, I want you to experience the
power of natural foods. I also want you to trust your body
for the healing process -- and not attribute any healing
power to foods, such as herbs. See my answer below for more
details.

Q: Frederic, I think your program sounds great, but you are
truly showing your ignorance making a comment about herbs
like "they're generally mildly toxic." Herbs AND spices
are a great gift from our creator; I have experienced and
witnessed amazing health benefits from internal and external
use. Keeping them out of the cleanse is one thing; putting
them down as toxic is a very bad position. Thanks, Anne

A: I will admit that my position on herbal medicine may be
viewed has heretic and hard to understand. But please bear
with me because you might learn something very useful.

Most people believe in the traditional view of medicine
which attributes healing powers to things and foods outside
of the body, such as medicines, drugs and herbs.

My view is very different and comes from my study of Natural
Hygiene. Although I admit that drugs and herbs can have
their place (such as for use as painkillers), and could be
useful at times, the general use of them is potentially
dangerous and certainly does not address the root of the
problem.

Most people think that when they get sick, they can "take
something" that will cure them. For example, imagine you
are constipated. Most people when faced with that problem
will want to seek a "cure" for it. If they trust modern
medicine, they will get a drug. If they believe in natural
medicines, they will seek a "natural" herb that can bring
the same results. In either cases you're doing the same
thing.

But when you're taking a herb or a drug for constipation,
you're not solving the problem. You're "forcing" your
body to reject whatever is in the intestinal track, often
very brutally. In fact, if you continue using the drug or
herb regularly, you might not even be able to have a normal
bowel movement anymore, without the use of the drug. So
instead of solving the problem, you've created another
one.

Medicinal herbs appear to "cure" but in reality they work
in the exact same way as drugs, although in some cases they
can be less dangerous (but not always).

They do not address the cause of the problem.

What I believe is that we must seek the cause of health
problems and correct it. The other thing to do is to provide
conditions in which the body can heal itself. This includes
raw foods, rest, water, emotional comfort, etc.

I know this is a hard shift to make mentally, and I
couldn't possibly answer all the questions in just a few
paragraphs.

I know my answer is not popular, in a world where everybody
wants to believe there's a "cure" for everything, even if
it's a natural one, instead of trying to understand the
cause and correct it.

If you want to study this topic more, I suggest that you
read the very complete essay written by Art Baker called
"What's Wrong With Herbal Medicines". This is included as
part of my Raw Health Starter Kit, inside of the back issues

Q: I'm nursing a seven month old beautiful baby girl, is it
okay to do this cleanse?

A: Yes but you want to make sure you're eating enough
calories! Read the answer I gave to the 15-year old boy.

Q: What about Candida people..can we eat all of this
fruit??

A: Ah... the candida people! The short answer is: fruit is
not the cause of candida, so avoiding it is not the answer.
Candida really comes from eating a high-fat diet and then
eating a bunch of sugar (natural or not) on top of it. To
overcome candida you should go on a very low-fat diet (such
as this cleanse) for several weeks. If your candida is bad,
you can skip breakfast, focus on low-sugar fruits at first,
eat plenty of greens, enjoy lots of green smoothies and
stick with avoiding fat for as long as possible. It
generally takes only a few weeks for many people to solve
life-long candida on such a program. Make sure you read my

I have been on the quest to regain health for the last 6 years....from years spent in tons of chlorine...Probably have tried everything on the market...with no lasting results until finally finding a protocol that works!...I mean, it really works! It's supergoodstuff...transforming my life in ways I never thought possible! I'd be happy to share my experience with anyone that is interested!

The therapeutic application of Enriched Purified SeaWater.

We came from the Ocean….. all life on Planet Earth begins in the Sea. The river of blood that sustains human beings is a copy of seawater. The same water we floated in for nine months in our mother’s womb can be found in the Ocean Water.
