Wouldn't it be pretty much the same thing as a colonic, clense, etc. When you have a 'scope' for upper and lower GI tract????? (This question has been bugging me for some time.) Anyone know? THANKS
Cher, I'm confused as to what you think would be the same. A colonoscopy is a medical procedure where they clean you out, go into the digestive tract with camera, lights, ACTION and look around
A colonic is inserting water into the colon and then withdrawing it.
A colon cleanse is a totally non-invasive form of cleaning out the colon.
I'm not confused per se.... I understand the colonoscopy. IF one has had one recently, then why would there be a need for a colon clense? (It's the 'colon clense' I fail to 'get'!)
My QUESTION is... Why bother with a clense if one has had a colonoscopy??? I can't imagine being any 'cleaner' than that!! Right???????
So... in other words.. I'm not the ONLY one who's clueless on this question... :):) OKay.. so I'll continue my 'quest' and let you know what I find out!
A colonoscopy is an isertion of a tube with a light that shows a picture of your higher colon. It does not clean the matter per se; a colonic does and leaves you feeling clean. It is usually done in 3 day series.
a few months ago, I was going to have a colonoscopy done. I had NO knowledge about natural remidies whatso ever. Still back then, I felt uneasy about doing the colonocopy because the doctor told me that I would need to be put under with anistisia. (not sure if I spelled that right.) I knew even back then, that being put under with anistisia was not going to be healthy for my body. I have heard of cases when people were put under with anistisia and never woke up. The Doctor kept resassuring me it's not bad as all and I had nothing to fear, in fact she seemed confused at why I was so nervous. She told me it was no big deal, yet at the same time she told me that I would need to take off for work that day, because I would not be able to drive and that I might have some soreness and bleeding. That right there, i knew colonoscoy was not for me and I canceled my appointment. I'm soooooo glad I did. I prayed to God if that was the right decision, because I had severe constipation where I would not go for weeks. I used to go once a month, and had no idea how toxic my system was. Even though yu had a colonscopy you still should do a colon cleanse down the line, because your body will need to get cleaned again, our bodies are constantly being filled with toxins. Has anyone tried the almighty cleanse? if so, did you get positive feedback. I'm looking into doing a cleanse, but there seems to be so many different ones out there. any adice would be appreicated. thanks
Thanks Kimberly............. I have found some more info... still uncertain that I want to DO this... (site had PICS of what came out!! eeeK) but believe I have it figured out.
By the way... the colonoscopy WAS No Big Deal, really. The worst part was not eating for a full day and drinking all the liquid.
I DO believe at this point, HOWEVER.. that there is stuff hiding in my colon that obviously didn't show up on the nice little photos of the intestines!
FINAL DECISION... Yes.. I will likely be clensing later on after Ph2!
Thank you all for your input. OH.. and to be totally grossed out.... and 'educated'.. go to the w.drnatura.com 'pictures' webpage!!
I CHECKED THAT SITE OUT!!! THATS DISCUSTING BUT GOOD TO KNOW ABOUT---wow!!! thanks cherterr for educating me a bit more bout this topic ;-) now others are gonna hear it from me lol!!!!
I don't presume to know everything but I do know that despite the unpleasantness of a colonoscopy, certain matters must be taken into consideration that should be further studied with a colonoscopy, such as beeding or pain, or a family history of colon cancer. I have had the procedure done and it was painless, despite that the doctor showed up late, bejeweled and made up as if se came from an event at 8:30 in the morning and I felt uncomfortable with the way she was rushing things around. I did not get any anesthesia only a valium and that was fine. I guess once one has birthed a child everything else is like play. With the colonoscopy they give you some kind of laxative to clean yourself the night before. This does not do the same function as the colonic irrigations. Anyways, please, if you have some signs that should be checked further, as those mentioned above, do not hessitate to get a colonoscopy. People have and not lived to tell the story. Good luck....Gina
