Looking for an alternative medicine education?
Hey there!
I'm 19 years old and am currently going to my local community college. And like most of you I want to venture onto a career in alternative medicine of some sort. I've always been a good student so I wanted to continue my education and get a degree of some sort. Well I found a really good site to search for alternative med. schools. It's www.naturalhealers.com. I did find some schools outside of naturalhealers.com but this is a great site to get started on. I found a school on that website called everglades university in florida. It offers a bachelors degree in alternative medicine. This totally caught my eye because I never thought such a school existed. Since i'm not sure what direction I wanted to go in in alternative medicine I thought this would be a great place to find out. Also, There are SOME schools that offer even higher degrees such as a doctorate Naturopathy. There is also something my stepmother made me aware of. There is a school up in Boston that offers a degree in Pharmacology of Natural Products? That almost seemed like an oxymoron to me but maybe just maybe our country is heading into the direction of natural healing! You just really have to research because they are hard to find since there are so little of them out there. Well I hope this helped some of you. Any comments are welcomed and appreciated!

Hi! Did you ever enroll in one of the schools you found? If so, how's it going (or how was it)? I've been looking for schools like this and came upon the site naturalhealers.com as well. I thought about Everglades in FL too, still haven't made a decision. I graduated from a traditional university June 08 with an unrelated BA and I'm wondering if I should start with a BA in natural health, or, since I already have a BA, try to start in a master's degree.
