I have been doing the diet off and on for the past five years, but have never gone a whole 3 months. I have really fallen off the wagon now and need to get back on. I'm just looking for some support and someone who actually understands.

Hi Dina,
I am about to start the diet again myself. I have had the book for years, tried it about 5 years ago, but have not been able to really go for it and stick to it. I feel I'm at a point now where I really need to just do it. I want to feel better and get past my addiction to sugar. I need a lot of support, as I am not the best at preparing meals, and I easily give in to cravings. I want to do this the right way and get my body back in balance (or has it ever been?).

I am in your shoes, although I have never taken the full BED plungea nd have yoyoed through coandida diets for years and years. Ia m interested in going all the way and doing a year or two on the BED. I feel like that is the only way I will prevent real illness from long term inflamation and yeast infestation. I haven't read the entire book yet but am familiar with all the premmisses. I am trying to get a handle on how strict I need to be for the first 3 months and what I can have on hand when I am hungry. I am thinking about to explore with the grains she permits but I think I am to out of balance to do any grains. Someone tell me what they eat for snack. Are there others who have such bad yeast that they need to go very very strict for a long long time? Has anyone done it sucessfully?

Hey folks, I'm about a month in and am noticing some changes in my weight (I've lost about 10 lbs) and skin (rash came, but was very dry) but still have a nail fungus which will take time to see results from. I'm still in learning mode for sure and am reluctant to give any advice yet. However, somewhere i read about the importance of a positive attitude, healthy thoughts, etc., and that certainly makes sense to me. Sticking to the diet has been feeling to me like a form of self-love, which has been feeling good. I'm wondering about ways to know when it would be "okay" to move to Phase 2 of the diet without going to a doctor for some sort of lab testing.
