Upon arriving home from out of town, learned that a dear friend has been in a coma since last Sunday due to tylenol toxicity. Docs discussed liver transplant which apparently isn't an option due to coma. Husband states prognosis 'not good'. Had seen article on use of ALA to save lives of several people due to mushroom poisoning; timing was of the essence. Does anyone have any info they can share. My friend is at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, MD. Thanks for assistance, direction, any help that can be provided.
wow, that is crazy. I knew tylenol caused liver damage, but never knew anyone that really got effected by this. thanks for posting this.....what is so funny is I was just at a dentist 2 days ago, and they offered my tylenol to ease the pain in my mouth. Also the lady told me, that when she was pregnant, the hospital told her the only safe drug to use was tylenol. I can't believe these docs push these drugs on innocent people.
