I have always had an interest in yoga but never had enough time to really keep up with it. As you progress do you stay in the positions longer, because that's what I've heard?

Hi :) There are many ways that you can progress and yonly you will know what is best for you. With each pose there are several variations and levels. So as you progress you may want more a variety and there are so many poses in addition to the mainstream poses mostly used regularly. There are many that are challenging and will really give you a workout. Or like you mentioned you can challenge yourself to hold the posed that you are comfortable with for longer periods of time. Starting a yoga practica can be as easy as taking a few minutes each day to focus on your breathing, straightening your spine and working on alignment. So I encourage you to try to find a little bit of time to work on your practice especially because you do have an interest in it (but I know we are all SO busy).
