I saw a news show advertising a new documentary "King Corn" about the corn epidemic in our food supply. I plan to watch it and see how it is. I know this corn is a big problem in our country.

I think the biggest thing I noticed (along with a friend with the same mindset) when I started to change my style of eating and do all my shopping in the produce aisle is the fact that there is no "food" in my pantry. My friend's pantry is full of "food". Cans and boxes and jars and of cereal and peanut butter and boxed meals and canned soup and food bars and such. It's not food, but "food".

I have been wanting to do this for awhile and finally got around to buying the pH paper from the store last week. Ideally we want to fall between 6.5-7.5 on the alkaline scale and I was 7.5!! Wow, I was hoping the last 3 years of healthy eating made a difference but didn't expect it to be that good.

I have been eating a pretty healthy diet going on 3 years now. I have greatly improved my overall health and immune system and keep working every day to make it just a little better.

Someone commented on another blog about have RLS in the 70's and "back then" they didn't know what it was. Looking back, I suffered from pretty severe depression in high school in the early 80's.
