December 5th 2007 was one of the worst days of my life. I found out that my son Kurt, just 22 months old, has a brain tumor. To make things worse we found out that the tumor is inoperable. We spent the next 11 days in the hospital as Kurt had to undergo a biopsy and ventriculostomy. Kurt recovered fast from the procedures but the biopsy was not sucessful, it could not be determined what kind of tumor he has. His medical teams believes that the tumor is a pilocytic astrocytoma, which is a low grade, benign tumor. Having read Natural Cures I knew there had to be an alternative to the conventional treatments. One of the first treatments that I read about is the Budwig cottage cheese and flax seed oil treatment. We started him on this immediately, before we left the hospital. Almost everything on the menu was fried or microwaved. As soon as we got out of the hospital we put him on an organic diet full of fruits and vegetables (as many as a toddler will eat) and no processed food. Then we found out that tumors are glucose metabalizers and immediately took him off all refined sugars. For about three weeks we did the essiac tea; I read that it wasn't good to do it for long periods of time. Next we started giving him Tahitian Noni Juice. Kurt had an unbelievable amount of energy after drinking the Noni juice plus he loves it! He drinks about half a bottle a day. On Jan 15th he had another MRI and his tumor was unchanged; it isn't growing! About a week and a half ago we started giving him zeolite (Natural Cellular Defense); actually the whole family started taking it.. The whole family started taking zeolite for the detox benefits. Overall Kurt is a happy little boy, we just celebrated his second birthday!



UPDATE 3/31/08
Kurt is doing good. We have taken him to a wonderful ND, Dr Deighn. We currently have Kurt on a raw organic food diet. We still give him the cottage cheese & flax oil. We also give him zeolite, Vit C, Waiora's Essential Daily Nutrients, mushroom extract, Kids green food drink and wheatgrass juice. We have been taking Kurt to a chiropractor, since he holds his head to the side he's twisting his spine. Kurt is also having cranial sacral work done on a weekly basis. We need to get him in physical therapy because he has weakness on the right side of his body.
Kurt has another MRI in 3 weeks- hoping for good news!


ZEOLITE
Zeolite is a naturally occuring volcanic mineral. It forms when lava comes in contact with sea water. Zeolite has a unique molecular structure that is shaped like a honeycomb. Since zeolite has a negative charge it attracts toxins and traps them in the "honeycomb". These toxins are then safely and naturally removed from the body. Zeolites have been shown to trap heavy metals- like mercury, lead, cadmium and arsenic- in its "cages" and safely remove them from your system. Liquid zeolite is completely safe and non-toxic. It is safely and completely eliminated from the body after 5 to 7 hours. There are no side effects from the toxins as they are eliminated from your body- except slight dehydration which is why it so important to drink plenty of water.
