Hello,

I am President of a company called HealthWise Gourmet Coffees, headquartered in Deer Park, IL. We are roasters and marketers of coffees which are low in acid, high in essential minerals and micronutrients, without bitterness or harshness. We believe we have the most healthful, all natural coffees available.

The market for our coffees are all coffee drinkers, but especially those with acid reflux, GERD and the like. We have many customers who can drink our coffee, but who cannot otherwise drink coffee.

I've signed up to join the group, to not only put in a plug for our coffee, but also to learn more about people's experiences with acid reflux.

Personally I suffer from acid reflux. (I do drink my company's coffee however!). Originally I was on Protonix for several years, but later switched to Prilosec, then switched again to Costco's Kirkland brand, which seems to work well for me. I also have a hiatal hernia. The problem with prescription Protonix is that it is very expensive at over $3 a pill, and requires disclosure to health insurers of a person's prescriptions.
