I'm also Diabetic and making changes to what my Dr. has prescribed. His meds weren't working but sure did cost a LOT of $. Would you mind letting me know exactly what you've been doing so I can check it against the changes I've made. Thankfully, m...

HCG is derived from pregnant women. Not to be personal, but if you've ever been pregnant (with or without the meds you're taking) you wouldn't think the hcg conflict with anything. Before you give up completely on the hcg, check into it more. It r...

This question is for "KnowNow". Are you saying that you take 3.5 IU's of hcg??? The normal amount is 2.5 per day which generally takes care of my hunger (I dropped another lb since yesterday). Since starting my hcg I've dropped 16 lbs. (since 4/9)...

Oh yeah, I forgot to add that since I've been on the hcg I've stopped taking almost all of my diabetes meds. I no longer take Byetta ($250), metformin, actos (around $200), etc.

YES, IT REALLY WORKS!!!! I have been diabetic (for 4 or 5 years) with a thyroid problem (since 1992). I figured it would be extremely hard to lose even with hcg but thankfully I've been proven wrong. On 3/16/09 I started Phase I very loosely. The...

I'm getting really excited while I'm (PATIENTLY) waiting form my HCG. I've already made a diet change by not eating anything processed and eating much more fruit. As a diabetic, I'm on everything from Metformin, Actos, Lantus, and Humolog (as need...

Thanks vikki for the response. Did your husband do a special diet, too?

I use flax seed meal in my morning smoothie. It has helped mine come down as long as I keep it up. I do get lazy and quit using it like I should. My husband's cholesterol was 354 when I met him and the Dr. wanted to put him on drugs. I told him no...

High Cholesterol

I just posted this question on the "Discussion" site but am not sure when or if someone will see it there. Does anyone have a sure fire way to lower cholesterol without listening to drs (who just want to prescribe the newest meds)? The exercise level is better than most people and high cholesterol runs in the family.

Hi, I just read your comment in HCG and Medications. I hope that one day your able to get off all the poisons (meds). I've been patiently awaiting my HCG as well. There are some outfits I recently purchased of a smaller size to help with motivation. My HCG arrived Monday. I'm so excited. I won't be starting until Sunday. My friend just bought a house and she will be having a get together Saturday which means I'll be eating a lot of food like I'm at a party. But last week, I've tried to make some changes to my diet as well to get in the practice of the diet like not eating after 6p.m., cutting down on fried foods, and eating about 6 times a day. I didn't want to loose any structural fat so I at what I wanted but just added a salad twice a day and cut back heavily on the portions of food. I hope that you get good results. Did you much in Phase one? I didn't do much of a colon cleanse. I will do all of the cleanses in phase one. I bought some cascara sagrada from the herb shop but it didn't do much so I hope that I get good results with the HCG.

I did only the protocol. Candida lives on the starches/sugars that we eat. I've been on the protocol long enough now that even with the cheats during p3 I've finally starved it out. If you go to www.wholeapproach.com you can get a list of foods you can and cannot eat to get rid of Candida. You will see that the protocol fits nicely into that diet. Be ready for some cravings, though. As soon as you begin to starve it, there will be chemical signals sent out to cause you to eat. Just nibble on a LITTLE protein or (I hate to say this) chew on a piece of Stevia gum to help get you through any cravings.
Are you type 1 or type 2 diabetic? If type 1 you will need to have a doctor watch over your dieting journey. But if type 2, the diet will most likely improve the condition or totally get rid of it! I will send you the info packet this morning.
