People come from all over. I'm not sure what they really do.Write,exchange ideas...all the things writers do. the island is soooo beautiful. We have so many pretty birds. sometimes it's acually anoying at the crack of dawn they start in with the churping. we live on a partially wooded acre looking west to the shipping lanes. Our land is on a hill so we see all the lower surrounding farm lands. It looks like a big puzzle in varying shades of green and sometimes browns. We can see port townsen ferry straight out drawfed by the majestic olympic mt range in the foreground,which are still snow capped. all this out our window.
We have no tv. Out side you hear fog horns,the wind and watch the wildlife.
what do you write about? Have you had any work published? Besides being hot what is the area like you live? I have lived on this island 25 yrs. to see coupeville(where we live) i think you can google it. some one one here had a link and i saw coupeville from a photographers eyes ...amazing.

We are country people here and people are burning fires in their woodstoves,wearing hats,and scarfs!!! i acually don't mind it. i think the 3 digit thing is worse. at least i can bundle and stay warm.
