anybody out there Her-2+? ... My cancer is DCIS and will be totally removed on 7-14-09. Except that I'm told that chemo is the only way to rid of this type of aggressive cancer.
Many people who suffer from cancer choose to go an alternate route rather than the conventional one and choose therapies that might not be considered within the boundaries of Western medicine.

- I'm 50 years young, mother of 2 adult daughters and 2 adult sons and 4 grandbabies aged 10, 6, 5 and 7 months. On June 5,2009 I received the news that I have aggressive Her-2 protein positive breast cancer, as well as DCIS (Ductal Carcinoma in Situ), which from what I have read, is not "spreadable". My 1st surgery was on June 23, 2009, but the margin was not wide enough. The full and complete "cancer" will be cut out on July 14, 2009. I have been adament since the beginning that I don't want radiation nor chemo. My surgeon's response was that we'll do chemo just in case there is any cancer anywhere else in your body. How comforting.
