'That Special Someone' Poem

One day I would find someone
Who is special like me
But for being himself
Without advantage or influence
By the wrong crowd

Someone who knows what love is
The difference between sex and fun
Who wouldn’t cheat or lie
Accept me for me
And who I am

Someone who will teach me what he knows
Care for me when I’m sick
And love me like I am his only one
But with respect and kindness
As I will do the same for him

Someday soon I will have
That special someone
With me ‘til I grow old
But young at heart
Of love and care for him
